A former Department of Energy official accused of stealing a woman's suitcase from the Las Vegas airport glared at the camera in their mugshot after being arrested on the felony grand larceny charge.
Sam Brinton, 35, who identifies as non-binary and uses 'they/their' pronouns, appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom on Wednesday where the judge set their bail at $15,000. A cash bond has already been posted and Brinton was not held.
Brinton was charged for the luggage theft earlier this year at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas that was captured on security footage. They also face charges for luggage theft at the Minneapolis airport.
In court on Wednesday, Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Joe Bonaventure mentioned the Minneapolis incident and told Brinton to 'stay out of trouble.' Their court date for that case is on December 19 in Minnesota.
Brinton, who was appointed to his Department of Energy position in June, was out of a job on Monday, according to a statement released by the agency.

I have too. I worked in a mental facility that dealt with predators. Women can be bad, but I do think compassion is more prevalent in women.
I won’t get in a sidetracked discussion over attributes. The wholesale destruction of gender normality and the blurring of right/wrong must stop because these games are destroying the country and creating very damaged children.
