A lesbian artist in Norway is facing criminal hate-speech charges punishable by up to three years in prison for stating it's impossible for a man to become a lesbian.
Police informed Tonje Gjevjon on Nov. 17 she was under police investigation for a post on Facebook for contesting a claim made by prominent Norwegian transgender activist Christine Jentoft, a man who claims to be a lesbian mother, reported Reduxx, a site featuring "feminist news and opinion."
Jentoft leads the transgender activist group Foreningen FRI, which had successfully worked since 1997 to repeal sexual paraphilias and fetishes as mental health diagnoses in Norway and abroad.
The offending post on Gjevjon's Facebook page read: "It's just as impossible for men to become lesbian as it is for men to become pregnant. Men are men regardless of their sexual fetishes."
Women's rights activists in Norway’s have opposed a 2020 amendment to the country's hate speech legislation that added the protected category of "gender identity or gender expression," arguing it could chill free speech.
Jentoft previously accused Christina Ellingsen, a representative of Women’s Declaration International Norway, for stating men cannot be lesbians or mothers. Ellingsen's alleged "transphobia" also is under investigation, and she, too, faces up to three years in prison if found guilty…

They had a court battle to demand they could be called Lesbians—— but only they—— but the court rule against them.

(CN) - A Greek court rejected the residents of the Aegean island Lesbos’ request to ban use of the term “lesbian” to describe gay women.
Three residents of the Lesbos, who are also called Lesbians, claimed the term’s adoption by the gay community defames residents of the island, which lies off the Turkish coast. They wanted to stop the Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece from using the term.
The Athens court said the word “lesbians” does not define the identity of island residents, so it can be used by gay groups worldwide.
“This is a good decision for lesbians everywhere,” Vassilis Chirdaris, attorney for the Gay and Lesbian Union of Greece, told Reuters. “A court in Athens could not stop people around the world from using it. It was ridiculous.”
Lesbos is the birthplace of ancient Greek poet Sappho, who sang of love between women and is said to have inspired the term “lesbian.”
The island, also called Mytilene, has become a popular gathering spot for gay women.
In todays world they can.
Once you start promoting and advocating wackiness, you can’t pick and choose. For consistency, you either have to reject it all, or accept it all.
And the alphabet crowd, among many others, have been big advocates of promoting wackiness.
Sane people in Norway need to run their government out of town on a rail, elect a government of other sane people, repeal the laws in question, and pass whatever legislation necessary to protect free expression. It might inspire sane people in other countries to throw off their tyrants as well.
