Yeah, so if you’re 13 in NZ, you will NEVER be old enough to buy smokes. Crazy.

Why don’t they just outlaw it and get it over with? I am an ex-smoker and am so glad I quit years ago but in a way I don’t believe it is the government’s job to tell people what they can eat and drink or if they can smoke. It is a huge slippery slope. The next step is telling people how much food they can have and what. If the people in NZ don’t want to go down this road, they need to start protesting now or never. They are doing things like that in our USA trying to force people into certain behaviors like not smoking. I think they should either make it illegal or just leave people and their choices alone.

The libtards view on tobacco is weird. I thought they were in favor of population control. You would think they would be giving tobacco away for free.

So when it gets to 70, someone that was 13 at the time of passing, that is now 69, will have to use a fake ID, or get a friend to buy them for him.
NZ is insane! COVID showed me that NZ is the sickest, most mentally ill country on the planet.

The libtards view on tobacco is weird. I thought they were in favor of population control. You would think they would be giving tobacco away for free. It's a conundrum for them. I would guess tobacco farmers and cig manufacturers are very much NOT liberal. So the bigger effort is to take money out of their hands.

You mean, "No Farting Without a License," the license to flatulate will cost $25, then $50, and so on, and require installation of a Flatulance Meter butt-plug to monitor compliance.
To save the children, or the climate, or something.

Such idiotic legislation is not really intended to have any positive effect.
Like the TSA security theater, the COVID lockdowns, etc., it's just another demonstration of the power of the ruling class to do whatever it wants.

Certainly in the Anglosphere, though Australia and Canada are running hard right behind.

I suspect this will fail.
Certainly within a decade, when Kiwis will be speaking Mandarin to petition their Government.

So right now you can sell cigarettes to somebody that’s less than 14 years old?
