Neither did Lincoln. He kept America from being splintered into small nations that the Brits would pick off one by one and ended slavery.
But keep up with the revisionist fiction.
LOL.
The CSA was the second most powerful army in the word. Right behind the USA. Europe armies were small in the 19th century. They sent reporters to cover the US civil war and they were mesmerized following the scope of the worlds first modern war.
Lincoln “ended slavery” with his proclamation in the South, after the South had seceded.
The proclamation was made to a Northern house and only “freed” Southern slaves.
The last slaves were freed in New Jersey, at the end of the war.
What you are saying here is revisionist fiction. You are trying to make up a reason that satisfies you regarding an invasion and killing of 750,000 Americans.
Britain was no longer any threat to the US. If they wanted to take us over, they would have done so in the war of 1812 where they kicked our @$$ in virtually every engagement except the very last one. 50 years later in 1861 there was no British effort or interest in trying to take over any of the states in North America.
You are wishful thinking trying to justify the horrible slaughter caused by Lincoln's war to keep power.
Lincoln launched that war to protect the financial interests of the corrupt northeastern "robber baron" class that is still running Washington DC today.
Lincoln was a liberal, and he created the huge government leviathan that is still persecuting us today.
If the United States had fallen and the British picked off States, they would be automatically slave free because the British had already abolished slavery.
