The mom took to Reddit to reveal an airplane passenger confronted her for having her toddler in first class — was she wrong to do that?
After an airline passenger allegedly accosted a woman because she had her toddler in the plane's first-class section, the anonymous mom took to Reddit to ask others if it was wrong of her to book first-class plane tickets for her young child — and people chimed in.
The Reddit user, One-Criticism5777, turned to the "Am I the A******" subreddit on Saturday, Nov. 26. She said a male passenger accused her of sitting in the wrong boarding class on purpose — and that he went on to call her a derogatory term.
The mother said she and her husband had "decided to splurge" on their cross-country flight for Thanksgiving. They booked a first-class ticket for their nearly 3-year-old daughter, who was traveling with them.

My worst flight was a four hour transcontinental flight in economy, where the six year old girl, in the row behind me in a loud voice, would say "Mommy how high are we, "How long are we going to get there", etc.
The mother was downing white wine mini bottles the whole time.
Worst flight I ever had was a thirty something business woman deciding to use her cross country flight to do business at full volume all flight long. Worse than any child I ever flew with
It’s annoying but first-class domestic is basically economy of 20 years ago. I fly first class domestically about 50% of the time - I’ve had plenty of annoying adults next time to me as well.
Stories like this remind me of how we live in a soft entitled society.
The mother across the aisle had an infant that was just serial puking. She would wipe it up with a blanket then stick a bottle back into the screaming kid's mouth. The kid would refill then puke again. I can still remember the stench 45 years later.
Fox News cannot be bothered to look for election fraud, or for vaccine adverse effects, or for a host of other important stories. Instead, they pick this meaningless drivel off of Reddit. Sad.
We have a very anti-child, narcissistic society, but this plays out in a variety of ways. On the one hand you get people complaining at a child showing up in 1st class (the horrors!) On the other hand you have the worst generation of parents in history with ill-raised kids causing problems for others. A pox all around.
Yes.
Ship the brats on LTL freight, or a bus or whatever.
People pay good money to fly first class and they don't
want puking screaming pooping brats sitting next to them.
Pressurize the cargo area for them or something.
Lucky you. I’ve never flown first class. Can’t afford it. If the first time I ever get the chance to fly there, I for one will not be happy if there’s an obnoxious kid (or adult) within earshot.
If the people paid for first class, they’re entitled to take their seat, with or without their kid - got no problem with it and if I don’t like it I can save up for a private plane where I set the rules on who flies. What does bother me is when parents with economy seats decide to take their babies for a stroll during a long flight and wander into business and first class where people are trying to sleep and the babies start screaming.
You travel on public transportation you have to put up with other people.
Deal with it, drive yourself or learn to fly yourself.
That kid is Paris Hilton in training. JMHO.
“Suffer the little children....” They should all be in first class and getting the attention they need. Adults can care for themselves. Every child should have a parent that would buy them a first class ticket, think nothing of the expense, and be thankful they could.
Did you ever consider for a moment, bringing earplugs on your flight, using them, and zoning out? Highly recommended, and removes potential for many a disagreement.
You buy the ticket, you take the ride.
Nah. Shove 'em in the cargo hold.
They can scream at each other if they need attention.
Rotten little brats.
What if a 1st class parent on the same long flight wandered into economy with a crying baby ?
I assume that would bother you too.

If that’s your worst flight, you’ve lived a charmed life.
Out the hatch with both of 'em.
“I’ve had plenty of annoying adults next time to me as well.”
A 5.5-hour flight from Hawaii to California. Lady next to me had BO so bad it would knock a buzzard off a s—t wagon.
