Yes but what gets me is that our military had to cooperate. That photo is perfectly framed as if he is the Commander in Chief. Focus on him. Not the wreath or anything else going on.

While I agree with you about tabloids, Harry and Meghan are the ones spewing malicious gossipy poison and lying about the RF and stabbing them in the back. That’s why they are so hated.

I suppose one main reason many people are interested in them is many families have a Meghan. These manipulative duplicitous self-centered people create all kinds of drama and destroy families. Yet out in public they pretend to be such wonderful charitable people, it’s nauseating.

I think the families harmed by Meghans get comfort from seeing that many others see through Meghan (and Harry) and commiserate with the maligned RF. Because in ordinary real life, these Meghans often pass for oh-so-special-dear-me people, but are pure poison to those closest to them who must grit their teeth and bear it while the Meghans spread nasty lies about them to cover up their own horrid behavior.

They love to make “private” cemetery visits on Veterans Day and bring along their own highs priced photigraohers:

Well, for one thing, he is USING us and our military. Again, everything they do is to promote themselves and their image. Otherwise, they would leave their personal camera crews at home, instead of using American tragedies like Uvalde, or our military and sacred remembrances, to mainly create photo-ops to celebrate themselves.

But he has also insulted our Constitution, by telling an American podcaster that he thought the 1st Amendment was ‘bonkers’ - and this after he had only been here for a very little while! Neither of them seem to have any respect for manners and protocol, unless it’s THEMSELVES being disrespected.

I appreciate that you’re trying to be Christian, but I find them thoroughly insulting and wish they’d just leave.

The British don’t want them, we don’t want them. Hmmm. St. Helena would be perfect! No paparazzi, no tabloid reporters, we’d never have to see or hear from them again.

You make a really good point. I have seen stories throughout the years here where people had such turmoil over a child marrying someone who wrecked havoc.

Everyone blames Meghan. I think Harry is also mentally ill. He may be just as big of a narcissist as Meghan. It’s just that the RF have protected him for so long that the public just didn’t realize it.

I have skimmed posts on twitter where people are making connections to people involved. Such as how that African wannabe in the Lady Hussey saga is connected to this person and that person connected to meghan etc.

I am sure MI5 is watching to see who is trying to burn down the monarchy. That Barkjack chick indicated something similar/

The wife of an MP brought up the moonbump in a DM article. If a surrogate was used for the kids that can’t have certain Titles. So I suspect a lot is going on behind the scenes on just that issue alone.

And probably the ‘privacy’ they claimed to want.

Because he is former royalty, a foreign dignitary, and a Afghanistan combat veteran.

Yes, woe betide the family who has a Meghan marry into it.

From what I’ve seen, sometimes the man is a really nice guy who got fooled, then the first baby comes along very quickly and he feels stuck. In this case, he becomes distanced from his family because of the wife’s nastiness, but does not join her in attacking them. Other times, the man was a spoiled younger child of a mother who had her own problems, one who couldn’t seem to stop being a teenager in many ways, and could not settle down and who secretly resented his older sibling(s) who were more disciplined and successful, then finally meets a Meghan who brings out the worst in him and it’s an ugly folie à deux from there out. Harry seems to be the latter type.

They do cause terrible harm to the family (and their own family as well), and usually separate the man from his old friends, too. Once she has him isolated, she is even better able exploit his weak points and manipulate him, and it’s a downward spiral. They use each other as proxies to damage each others’ family members in this weird way it’s hard to explain. But you can see it at work with Harry and Meghan.

Anyone who can’t see through current events to know the majesty of the queen and of the royalty in general is rather pathetic. I don’t think we should read too much into these things. All this drama on FR is just adding to the problem.

Well, Harry seems to be poorly educated, since the 1st Amendment was based on the ideas of Sir William Blackstone in the 18th century and so Britain is kind of where we got it from.

Far from being “bonkers,” the right to free speech is a God-given right that is merely absorbed and made into law by intelligent human beings. It has its limitations, which we all know, and that is fine.

The education systems in both countries seem to be abysmal right now, so even that is not Harry’s fault.

Maybe it’s Christian, as you say. I don’t know. I am a Christian, so maybe.

It seems that no matter how much she pays, she can’t get clothes that suit her figure or even fit correctly...

I wonder at what point what he is doing becomes treason or at least they could be a National security risk for the UK.

I’m a little taken aback by the disrespect shown on this thread for a British officer and Britain in general.

I'm a former captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, combat vet, and there is no universe in which I'm entitled to a salute from active duty U.S. troops. Unless it's my own funeral.

So why would a former officer in the British military be entitled to one??

He's not a foreign dignitary, amd being a combat veteran doesn't entitled you to a salute unless you also are an active-duty officer. And he isn't.

And former royalty aren't entitled to jack squat either. Nor even are current royalty unless that current royalty includes a military commission.

The salute may be unnecessary. He may not be entitled to it. I believe what probably happened was that he saluted the troops at Pearl Harbor and they saluted back out of courtesy to avoid making him feel that he made a mistake.

People do "salute" others casually as an acknowledgment of something that they did or said, and it has nothing to do with military protocol.

Thank you for serving. I get your point. He wasn't US military and maybe didn't know the rules or conventions.
