Influencers on Chinese social media platforms have been promoting such products to correct physical imperfections like crooked teeth and a flat head in children.
From taping children’s lips to stop mouth breathing at night to helmets that mould a baby’s skull to a desired shape.
Social media has helped to spread tips and ideas on how to correct physical imperfections in children. But experts warn these tips are potentially dangerous.
A report published by Shanghai-based magazine Sixth Tone in September highlighted a growing number of parents who believe that they can enhance their children’s appearance by taping their mouths before they sleep.

If a child cannot breathe through his/her nose because of allergies or illness couldn’t taping the mouth shut kill the child?
In that case shouldn’t taping a kid’s mouth shut be premeditated murder?
So, millions are so stupid that they follow the latest fads on social media and can’t see that they are dangerous?
When my kid mouthed off to me he got a SPANKING, and after a few times, that was the end of that problem.
Amen. And all these flat headed babies are caused by mothers too afraid of letting their infants sleep on their stomachs due to “SIDS”

Why SO many people listen to some random man or woman on YouTube, TikTok, etc. on how to run things in their life......
Oy vey.
But "experts" are perfectly happy with chopping dicks and tits off children to improve those "physical imperfections."
What a world.
At least with the lips taped it’s harder for the kids to do the Tide Pod challenge (hopefully that’s not still a thing).
