Anybody know if Baker scrubbed/deleted the files, or did he just block their release?

I had a comment about this ready to send but the MOD redacted it.

He possibly tried to delete them but thatā€™s what backups are for. Twitter is also the custodian of customersā€™ tweets and may not want to be in the position of having to say ā€œOops. Somehow all of [insert name of important person here]ā€™s tweets got deleted and we donā€™t have a backup to recover them.ā€ If Musk has the business acumen we think he has, he may have kept Baker on to avoid a big separation settlement knowing heā€™d betray Musk at some point, because the DS players answer only to the DS. Other posters here have noted this possibility.

He can’t delete those backup emails or even have someone do it even if he wanted to be brazen enough to break the law with everyone watching. Not only that, but if those emails were written while Twitter was a publicly held company, that would be a violation of Sarbanes-Oxley and he’d know it. Baker just vetted what was to be released to the journalist without the knowledge of the new attorneys. I imagine he “advised” that this or that be left out of the release.

I doubt if Baker could scrub/delete all the files, due to data redundancy. There are other backups.

What this did was provide the ammo for Musk to very publicly expose and exit Baker.

Baker was essentially continuing the same treasonous activity he did with the FBI.
