My first and only book, “A World Away” isn’t selling and I don’t really care. It’s about my father’s travels during the first months of World War II. Actually, he wrote it, and I resurrected it.
I am still trying to get my first book published - at age 81. It’s been proofread, but I’m hung up on headers and footers. I’m using Word 2016 and even tutorials are no help. The tool bars don’t even match up.
Any leads, helps or clues. I’m on a very limited budget.
Congrats!
Someday I may inquire as to your self-publishing...when my motivation is reinvigorated.

If you already saw the post, forgive me for pinging you.
I wrote a book, and wanted to thank all my FReeper friends through the years for taking a part in this, because of your help, or even because of your criticism that helped make me a better writer.
If you asked prior for me to remove you from my seldom used jingliest, I apologize. I used a list I found after I loaded things onto a new computer. As usual things get crossed up and lost or found after some years.
Congratulations!

Congratulations.
🎉🎊✨🎇
May fame and fortune fall into your lap.
Seriously, congratulations.
Much success!
Wonderful...sounds interesting
Heartiest congratulations! Can I say that’s a hella lot of work for a book about Scripture?
This appears to be a physical book. Have you (or your publisher) considered making this into an ebook? Maybe after physical sales die down? Or before? I’ve only cursorily examined the ebook world, so I am not offering advice and your publisher might hate the idea; just pointing out the idea as I’m working on a book I’d publish in ebook form. My understanding is that about 7/10 of AMZNs’ bestseller book sales are ebooks, there are vast numbers going on in that space.
Well done, FRiend. Bump!
Congratulations!
Nice work... well done.
I’m so happy for you, Chuck. A job well done, I know. (And I plan to find out for myself, btw.)
Thanks for the ping, I’ve been looking for something on a similar topic & will check your work out.
Freepmail me any time you wanna talk about writing.
I have “some” experience. (I think I’m at 30 books including a #1 NYT bestseller, thousands of columns, and a dozen screenplays). I also know novelist Brian Freeman (”Bourne”) pretty well, and have some small insight into novels.
I to look to FreeRepublic for my continuing education growth as a citizen and for growth as a Christian.
I thank you for your efforts to further the spread the word of God.
And as an aside you show that even something as evil as Amazon can advance the Kingdom of God.
Congratulations and good luck with future success.
If you would ever like to record this as an audiobook, let me know. I can offer you a lot of pointers as I have recorded many, many audiobooks.
You will reach new customers who otherwise won’t(simply because they can’t) make time to read - they are too busy. But they will gladly listen to you either at the gym, on plane flights, and many other scenarios.
Convenience is an untapped resource. Convenience, convenience, convenience.
Good for you! Congratulations!
