Tesla Semi unveiled with tri-motor setup, megawatt charging tech
yahoo ^ | 2 Dec 2022 | Pras Subramanian

Tesla’s Semi will have a Tesla estimated range of 500 miles on a single charge, and that range can be achieved hauling a max payload of 82,000 lbs of freight (Tesla says federal regulations allow electric trucks to go 2,000 lbs above limit).

When just using the Semi without an attached trailer, Tesla says the Semi drives like a regular car, and is quite fast given its electric powertrain. "It looks like an elephant running around like cheetah,” Musk joked.

All things that we/they will find out.

As for drivers, there isn’t enough of them now.

But soon, with all the illegals pouring in, they’ll be pushing to give them licenses and wages will fall through the bottom.

On a side note, I wonder how many union drivers there actually are. Good question.

Article says nothing about when these things would be in full production. Musk announced it in 2017 and still hasn’t delivered. Seems like normal for him. Big promises and then failure to deliver.

The Tesla semi is not Ford. The Tesla semi is far more advanced and with much better batteries.
That's why Tesla sold close to 70% of EVs in America in 2021.

If trucking companies are smart, and they are not, but, if they insist on going with this crap, they must run a freight transfer system.

One driver runs the load to the next driver, the truck gets charged, and the next driver takes the load to the next driver.

The shyster big trucking companies arent smart enough to do that though.

They are in production now at Giga Nevada. They just delivered semis to Pepsi.

Seems like normal for him. Big promises and then failure to deliver.

Musk always deliverers, even if later than expected.

This is a tremendous advancement in electrical vehicle technology. Musk is literally changing the world and it appears for the better.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has it covered.

Until next year when the self-driving semis takeover.

Not to worry!
Biden will shut down more dirty old factories to free up a few kilowatts.

The Chinese can make the stuff using coal power.

Yeah! I was thinking of the shows “Highway Thru Hell” and “Heavy Rescue 401”! Can you imagine what would happen if a lot of those trucks were in accidents? I don’t think I would want to be in one in the winter especially!

—”What is the re-charge time?”

Does not sound like you can do this at home with an extension cord.

“How long does it take to charge a Semi Tesla?
Tesla, Inc. The company initially announced that the truck would have a 500-mile range on a full charge and with its new batteries it would be able to run for 400 miles (650 km) after an 80% charge in 30 minutes using a solar-powered “Tesla Megacharger” charging station.”

Tesla is selling more EVs in America than the rest of the other car makers combined, and then some.
That is FACT as opposed to your empty headed fantasy.

Are you incapable of telling me where I’m wrong.

I don’t Tesla and Twitter have to say, they’re marketing a product, so of course it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Tell me where I’m wrong.
