Diversity is not always a strength. In this context, diversity means fewer white people, fewer Englishmen, and fewer Christians. There are those who would celebrate that. I would call them racists.
Perhaps my mixed heritage provides me with a different perspective on the topic of immigration. My father’s family are from Jamaica, originally Nigeria, and my mother’s family are from England. I am, therefore, ethnically half Afro-Caribbean and half English. Most liberals would defend my father’s family in their right to self-determination, whether in Jamaica or in Africa. Why, then, do they not afford my mother’s family the same privilege? Surely, all countries should be able to have a conversation about national security, borders and immigration levels. Not only is it in their best interest, but it is also the job of any government – to protect the national security and borders of the nation because, without them, we do not have a country.
However, the Left has done a great job of toxifying the topic of immigration. Anyone who broaches the subject is instantly labelled a racist, a xenophobe or a bigot. This is not by accident; it is a political policy. The Labour Party is on record saying they wanted to “rub the Right's nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date” Labour decided to brand Tories racists to “deter them from criticising the covert initiative.”
This isn’t a problem unique to Labour, though. The Conservatives have exacerbated the problem over the past decade, continuously promising to cap/cut/control immigration in their manifestos. It could be argued that the primary reason the Tories gained an 80-seat majority in the last election was to give Boris Johnson a mandate to “get Brexit done” and regain our national sovereignty. Why they squandered it is anyone’s guess.

As true today as when he wrote it. If anything, he understated the impact of immigration and "diversity." The UK will never be the same.

Diversity is strength.
I am having trouble with this. It sounds like a statement of fact, when in fact I can think of many counter examples.
What is wrong with this statement
“invasive species are good for the environment, cause diversity”
Or
“there are not enough genders, we need more”
Or
“diverse answers should be celebrated in mathematics classes”
I could go on all night
Just look at those illegal aliens flooding our country.
Remember, whatever the Left says or defines, the opposite of it is the truth. So if they say diversity is strength it is weakness.
The more they divide us up (diversity) the more opportunities to pit one group against the other.
One time I attempted to discuss with a coworker some of this. I stated that what they really want is no one earning over $30,000 a year, and most of the money, health care, etc coming from the government. When the coworker stated that this was not a bad idea, I stated ‘well, what if you or I were much more frugal, and managed to save a few thousand dollars after a few years? Would we have to put it under the mattress, and not spend it too much? (if we bought something that cost thousands of dollars, they would ask where the money came from). If we are more frugal than our neighbors, perhaps we do not neeeeeed the $30,000? Those who are not as frugal need the entire $30,000, but we do not?

If diversity is strength why are almost all countries built around a large racial/ethnic majority?
If diversity is strength why do the largely homogenous countries of Japan and China and India do so well?

Diversity and inclusion are precursors to squalor and violence. Over on my coast consider Seattle, Portland, Eugene, San Francisco, and Los Angelos.
This black woman went on for two hours about how we're ‘’all equal and diversity is our strength’’.
After taking as much of this crap as I could in a small, crowded and stuffy conference room I blurted out this question: '' Madame, if we're all equal than how is diversity our strength?'' The woman started at me blankly for a couple of seconds, didn't answer the question and just kept on blabbering away about ''Diversity''.
