Well, I was young but lived in southern England during this time. I don’t recall anyone talking about it.
Nobody had cable, everything was over the air. So any local, stronger, signal could have done it...but that’s a long way from being ET and most likely a prank. But as said, I don’t remember anyone ever making comments about it.
