Former Disney CEO Bob Iger has returned to the helm of the flailing, woke company to replace the ousted Bob Chapek, who Iger accuses of “killing the soul of the company.” From criticism over the mishandling of the streaming service to astronomical price increases at the parks to cover the losses from COVID to a public fight with FL Governor Ron DeSantis, who was falsely accused of pushing a misrepresented “Don’t say Say” law that had nothing to do with not saying ‘gay,’ but instead, prevented young children up to grade four from being taught about their sexual identity in Florida’s public schools.
Now, the opening of Disney’s newest animated movie that features the first-ever openly gay teenager, “Strange World,” is possibly the worst flop in Disney’s history.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the movie opened to a disappointing $4.2 million on Wednesday and is expected to make less than $24 million in its first five days in theaters. For a movie with an estimated $180 million in production costs, those are worryingly low returns.
According to World of Reel, the film scored a B CinemaScore, the lowest score ever for a Disney animated production. Since “Beauty and the Beast,” every Disney animated movie has been met with A+, A, or A- grades.
Although we’re not huge fans of Ben Shapiro, he is spot on with his commentary about Disney’s latest animated movie disaster:
“As Disney begins pushing “Strange World” for next week’s release, here’s the reminder that their “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” to target kids is ongoing. It’s a part of the plot of this movie, just as it was with “Lightyear.” Your kids, your choice.” Shapiro wrote.
Yep....................
Haven’t seen it, have no intention to... even without the Rambow Mafia stuff, the film doesn’t even look interesting.. my 7 year old hasn’t even asked to go see it.
Go watch the trailers, they literally offer nothing as a reason to go see it.
Disney is just operating on inertia anymore... its like they don’t even bother to try.
"See? Nobody wants to watch homos."
In that case, they definitely need to immediately start at least a dozen more (movies) exactly like this one. And they must not be concerned about any poor showing at the box office. It’s the cause that counts. Go for broke. (And I mean that literally.)
So, is this guy Iger good or bad?
That paragraph is an enigma.
He’s the guy that started these projects..............
Ok, maybe, but then that implies that Chapek was….better?
Not really, he just took the fall for Eiger’s faggotry.....................
I thought Disney was bringing Iger back in for a similar reason. Even though he was the one that brought wokeness to Disney, he would have the clout to end the wokeness.
I personally loath Disney and am glad that Iger chose not to end the wokeness, but to multiply it. If Disney, ABC, ESPN, etc. go the way of the dodo bird that would be fine by me.

And think of how much they depend on toys and promotions from places like McDonalds. I see “Frozen” stuff everywhere. NO ONE is going to run around saying, “I want the big fat gay kid lunchbox.” An woe to the poor kid whose woke mother buys him any merchandise from this wretched cartoon.
They truly are Engulf+Devour company from Mel Brook’s “Silent Movie.”
And Disney is LOSING money on its streaming service. Subscription services are suppose to about minting money. How on earth did they manage to lose money?
My boys 9 and 12 chide one another by calling the other one gay. My wife hates it, but I secretly am glad in their minds there something “wrong” with the gay lifestyle. The wife is a live and let live sort of person so she doesn’t understand my animosity.
The day it debuted, I predicted to my family that it’d flop worse than ‘Lightyear’..
Bingo.
Will Disney finally see the light?
That term is age appropriate, when they get into hs they can use the terms homo and fag.
“How on earth did they manage to lose money?”

“
No, they are doubling down on stupid. Will produce even more trash no one wants to see or buy.................................
For those who have not been following the CEO drama at Disney too closely, in summary:
Michael Eisner was the last memorable CEO before Iger. He actually “fixed” the floundering ship that was Disney and ushered in the era of The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladin, etc. He made Disney profitable.
There were two CEOs between Eisner and Iger that were placeholders at best - Mitchell and Pepper.
Iger took over in 2012. In 2006 Iger oversaw the purchase of Pixar. He was the driving force behind the purchase of Marvel in 2009 and Lucasfilm in 2012. In hindsight, you can see he wanted as much control over the “message” being fed to America’s youth as possible. He promoted and hired far leftists put them in charge of various aspects of production and management. He created the “woke” at Disney.
Suspiciously, almost like he knew what was coming, Iger retires a month before COVID-19 hits. He puts Bob Chapek in charge.
Chapek is a money man. He really has no hard ideological stance. He was put in to keep the company afloat as best as possible during the pandemic. It is now being speculated that he was a patsy - that the whole thing was a set up to keep Iger’s hands clean so that the inevitable financial disaster could be blamed on someone else and that when the crisis was over he could step back in and continue the woke mission of changing the hearts and minds of America.
Now that the pandemic is over, Chapek is fired, Iger is back in, and the company will go full bore leftist. They will not even try to hide it. They are very happy to be the entertainment company for liberal America. Since they comprise about 80% of entertainment content aimed at young people, they are confident that they can influence the next generation into being good, tolerant, perverted, groomed, leftist, Marxists.
Disney has DEEP pockets. This little loss on this sorry little film won’t bother them at all. It will still be in their catalog forever and thanks to Disney+ will be available to view by millions for decades. It will still get “the message” out. Remember...leftists only care about profits in that they are necessary to keep the message machine running.
Thank you for that synopsis!
I had already assumed Bob Chapek was a patsy for the very reason you stated.
And yes, Iger is Doubling Down on Stupid.
Disney’s future, if they continue down this path, is bleak.
They will have to sell off some properties to stay afloat.
