HEADQUARTERS ARMY OF THE POTOMAC, Friday, Nov. 28.

The railroad form Aquia Creek was completed yesterday, and a locomotive came down this morning. Supplies will be received by rail henceforward.

The enemy are industriously engaged in extending and strengthening their earthworks in the rear, to the right and left of Fredericksburgh. Their operations are distinctly visible through glasses from our signal stations.

No movement of importance has taken place for several days, but a reconnoissance is said to be in progress which promises important results.

SPECIAL DISPATCH FROM WASHINGTON.

WASHINGTON, Friday, Nov. 28.

We learn from the TIMES special correspondent that an important reconnoissance, which left Falmouth on Thursday, 20th inst., toward Port Conway, under command of Major HARHOUS and Lieut. Col. KARGA, returned yesterday, having acquired valuable information.

The enemy appears in great force near Fredericksburgh, evidently determined desparately to dispute the passage of the National army.

Great amounts of contraband property and army supplies are being sent continually to Richmond.

SPECIAL DISPATCH FROM STAFFORD C.H.

STAFFORD COURT-HOUSE,

Thursday Evening, Nov. 27.

R.O. CRAIG, (regular army,) of the New-York Cavalry, has been appointed Medical Director of the Left Grand Division of the army.

Cars are running to Potomac Creek. The road will be completed five miles further, to Falmouth, tomorrow. The roads are very bad, All quiet.

THE ROAD COMPLETED TO FALMOUTH.

AQUIA CREEK, Va., Friday, Nov. 28.

The first train of care passed through to Falmouth this morning.

An important expedition has returned from down the Rappahannock, having captured one hundred and fifty Confederate hogs, and a large amount of goods of various descriptions.

The enemy is collecting all along the opposite side of the river. All quiet in front.
