Illegals will still get in the country no matter how big the wall is. If you want to stop illegal immigrants you have to stop the laws that incentivize them to come here illegally. The United States rewards illegal immigration so they’re going to get more of it.

Illegal immigration increased until COVID-19 diminished it, then it increased under Biden. No US president has done anything to stop immigration. It was higher under Trump than it was under obama.

Conservatives have long said you will get more of the behavior you reward. Our laws currently reward people who come here illegally. If you really want to curb illegal immigration you will be in favor of changing the laws that incentivize it. If you don’t talk about changing those laws, then you don’t really care about illegal immigration. I’m sorry if people using their brains is offensive to you.
For example, I have a friend who moved to the United States legally with his parents when he was 12 years old from overseas. He later went got an EECS degree from a very good university, then he later got a master’s in computer science from a good university. In short, he will never be on the public dole. It took him 26 years to become a citizen by the time he was 38 years old. During those 26 years many people who came here illegally and didn’t respect our system got their citizenship before him. In fact, he would have been better off coming here illegally he would have gotten citizenship a lot sooner. The fact that people like you want to ignore these problems and just wish them away is one of the reasons we can’t get anything accomplished.

We certainly do not need any immigrants who bring no skills or wealth with them. Our LEGAL immigration system is very bad. It is based on approving relatives of current legal immigrants. Those 2 brothers who used pressure cooker bombs in NYC had sponsored 23 relatives. There is no test for skills or wealth. Majority become dependent on welfare.
My point is current legal immigrants are not much better than illegals. New Zealand has a clever immigration system. People under retirement age must bring $1.5 million with them to qualify for immigration. Retired people need $10 million! Only other option to qualify is if you have a job offer in NZ in a field which has shortage of workers in NZ.

You get your propaganda from Ann Coulter, and you can’t even understand this thread isn’t about that. You didn’t present numbers either. Trump inherited the open borders from Obama. The numbers were also very high under Obama. He tried working with both Democrats and Republicans to fix it and got the wall under the National Emergency Act. Biden inherited the a secure border.
