It just might be they are there to keep Hobbs, the candidate for AZ Governor, from leading the meeting to ‘certify’ as current SoS. Until certified, Hobbs remains a candidate in an election that conflicts with her duties as SoS, and state election law states she must relinquish her elections duties while a candidate. She failed to observe this law during active counting of ballots by being present and unescorted in the counting room without an excort of impartial observers, while all other candidates were restrained from entering, rendering the entire election UNLAWFUL.
