"Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake." Carlo Cipolla In the 1970s, an economic historian called Carlo Cipolla wrote a provocative article titled "The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity". This week's episode is about his theory of the destructiveness of stupid behaviour and why it is so underestimated and misunderstood.

Stupid people = useful idiots.
Sadly they decide who runs the country, they’re the unprincipled “independents” and “moderates” whose votes swing the elections one way or the other.

Leftists (and their RINO sycophants) are not stupid. Why? Because their god is not stupid. Satan is a genius level rebel who constantly grooms those who bow to him. He imparts his diabolical worldly wisdom of the ages on those he promotes. The credulous masses are stupid…
Ezekiel 28:12 …Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; … 14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Years ago when I had my shop, I walked into shop floor seeing a worker sitting on top of a 18 wheeler air spring and two other guys standing around to watch.
Said he was going to inflate the air spring while sitting on it.
Got him up and went over his situation with him.
The air spring top was 12 inches diameter, fast fill air hose was at 175 psi.
Got out my calculator and we went over the numbers together…
Pi x Radius squared gave area of the top at 113 square inches.
Discussed that PSI means pounds per square inch.
Agreed that he could probably get 100 psi into the air spring quickly.
Note the air spring is three parts and the truck mounts hold the assembly together when inflated.
Showed him that 100 psi to 113 square inches area is 1,130 pounds of force.
Asked him how hard would he hit the steel trusses 20 feet overhead at his body weight.
*He went on to later find better stupid ideas.

Thanks for posting.
I wasn’t watching a 15 minute video for 15 seconds of reading this answer.

Having to watch a 15 minute video rather than quickly reading the concept in the written word format?

It’s background noise to me while I work. I can’t read and work at the same time, so I listen instead.

Stupid used to be fatal. Stupid people reproduce faster than smart people so now there is an overabundance of stupid.

Many many years ago I worked for Westinghouse and attended an awards banquet. A speaker was introduced who spoke about artificial intelligence, which was in its infancy then. I spoke up and wondered when I could present my report on artificial stupidity - was never invited to another banquet.

The end result of protecting people from their own stupidity is to end up living in a world full of fools.

Unless education and training can de-fool-ify the young, and the present fools can be contained where they won’t do any more harm, until the de-fool-ified young come of age.
