This b.s. just made me laugh out loud this morning when I read my work email.

The entire Chicago area is considered "medium transmission" according to the CDC and without any "public health official" or politician saying a word, more and more people are masking up again.

I refuse, even though I'm immune system compromised because I know masks DO NOT WORK, and if they did, people are too stupid to know how to wear them properly.

I retired from 40 years in banking about 10 years ago. I’m sure I wouldn’t recognize the profession now. Big banks have become quasi-fedgov operations it seems, executing cultural policy in addition to all of the usual regulatory crap.

Data punt: my 90 year old mom lives in an independent living community. Nobody is under 80 in this place, or very few. Recently there was an outbreak of COVID among the residents. at least 18 residents got it and there were updates after that which I didn't read so probably more than that.

Every single one of them has fully recovered. I don't take COVID seriously anymore.
