A Florida woman is suing the parent company of Velveeta’s microwavable Shells & Cheese cups after claiming it takes longer to prepare the meal than the 3 1/2 minutes the box label says.
The suit alleges that the statement of "’ready in 3 1/2 minutes’ is false and misleading because the product takes longer than the 3-and-a-half minutes to prepare for consumption."
It goes on to quote the four steps to prepare the meal that are printed on the box label before alleging that the 3 1/2-minute ready time is "just the length of time to complete one of several steps," referring to the time it takes to microwave the product after having mixed in other ingredients listed in previous steps.

Pepsi, no Coke!
The detailed instructions are on the outside of the box, right?
Oh yea? What about instant oatmeal?
I was just thinking this would be a great case for Jackie Chiles!
This may be the stupidest lawsuit ever. If Kraft settles, then it will offically be the stupidest law suit ever.
Betcha she’s being helped by Morgan & Morgan For the People.
We are too lawsuit happy in this country. even every lectin results in the losers begging the robed ones to overturn the will of the people.
Epic!!!
I don’t like the Mac and Cheese with the creamy Velveeta. I like the Kraft with the fluorescent orange ‘cheese’ in the packets..
As a lawyer I can say... I hate lawyers.
Oh, good grief. 🤦🏻♀️
Should be tossed, but doubtful it will be. A false advertising lawsuit against Barilla survived dismissal ~ buyer bought it instead of cheaper pasta because it says “Italy’s Number 1 Brand” making them think it was made in Italy... despite the fact it says made in USA on the back of the box...
And Hi-C never sent me my Hotwheels car back in the’60’s or ‘70’s. I’m suing!
"The who?"
Idiocracy is here.
NotSure
phew at least this time Florida Man is off the hook
A few years ago a woman sued a light and low calorie food line company on the grounds that she ate the stuff daily for a long time didn’t lose any weight.
In that one the judge threw the case out. Now? Maybe she should sue again.
