Annabella Rockwell led a life of privilege even before she entered posh Mount Holyoke College in rural South Hadley, Mass. in 2011. The heiress to a pharmaceutical fortune, she grew up on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, summered in Newport, RI, and later moved with her family to Palm Beach, Fla.
A competitive figure skater who lived abroad for a time in Germany as well as Hong Kong, Rockwell chose Mount Holyoke for its academic rigor and prestige. At the time, she said, she’d grown up in a home with “traditional” values but considered herself open-minded.
“I was so excited about going to this renowned, respected school in Massachusetts,” she said. “I literally arrived there bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I was just so happy.”
But she told The Post she wound up “totally indoctrinated” into viewing the world as a toxic patriarchy and herself as an oppressed victim — and eventually had to be deprogrammed.
Rockwell, now 29, said she was initially shocked by how aggressively anti-male the students and professors were when she settled in at the women-only school, founded in 1837. She was also taken aback by a serious drinking culture and freshman campus rituals that, she said, were designed to shrug off gender roles — such as cutting your hair into what is called the “MoHo chop.” (Rockwell did not do this.)
But it wasn’t until her junior year, when she took a Gender Studies class, that she said she was turned upside down.
“This professor tells me about the patriarchy,” Rockwell told The Post. ” I barely knew what the word meant. I didn’t know what she was talking about. I wasn’t someone that into feminism. I just knew that I felt I had always been free to do what I wanted. I never experienced sexism.

BLM were Obama/Holder's brownshirts / red guards. Specifically organized and supported by the DOJ, for the purpose of creating disorientation, and pushing a radical political agenda.
Similarly, they looked at Roe v Wade as a great decision. That was 7 men deciding to make a national decision about women's bodies. Fantastic!
But the recent Dobbs decision was basically a statement that a group of 9 people shouldn't be the ones to decide such things and that turning such decisions back to the several states and letting all of the voters in all of those states make their own decisions about abortion -- THAT was a threat to "our democracy".
The people on the Left are pawns in a game that they don't understand.
I worked for both Smith and Mount Holyoke. I found the kids at both schools to be very smart, and generally fun to be around. The MH girls were more serious. I never stopped laughing when I was around the Smithies.
Then I dealt with their “riding teams.” Holy crap. They were still good kids…but the old money just dripped off those girls. It was a peak into a world you usually only see in glossy magazines.
Yes, the social justice stuff is strong in those schools. But they are mostly good, smart kids in a pressure cooker of an environment. 80% of them would fit into any college, anywhere or anytime.
This ridiculous institution exists only because productive, white men created wealth and gave it huge sums of money.

Not just American Democrats; Soros, Schwab, Gates, all give nominal support to feminists and other leftists because they are a means to gather more power. The globalists are organized like the Lowerarchy in C S Lewis’s Screwtape Letters; the strong prey upon and use those who are weaker than they to gain more influence.
Feminism exists only because the Patriarchy allows it to.
Smith and Wellesley are even worse.

I would never have equated Mount Holyoke with academic rigor. Expensive and exclusive, yes, but not rigorous.

For things like pre-med, pre-law and economics it is on par with the Ivy League. Smith is as well.
You won’t like their politics…but they ain’t “finishing schools.”

I never see them high on the lists of the better academic colleges and universities.
From what I recall, they are more in line with the wannabe Ivies, like Bucknell and William & Mary.
