A Carnival cruise ship passenger fell overboard into the Gulf of Mexico and was found alive against all odds on Thanksgiving Day — more than 15 hours after vanishing, officials said Friday.
“[It’s] just one of those Thanksgiving miracles,” Lt. Seth Gross of the US Coast Guard, told CNN.
The missing man, who hasn’t been identified, was with his sister at the Carnival Valor’s bar at 11 p.m. Wednesday when he took a bathroom break and never came back, the outlet reported.

That’s amazing and little chance of succumbing to exposure in the bath water of the Gulf. Looking forward to hearing how he went overboard in the 1st place.
How do you “go overboard” on a cruise ship without it involving some kind of hold muh beer moment?

On any ship, never try to piss over the deck rail when drinking alcohol beverages.
I presume named “Bob?”
15 hours at 70-72 degrees is a long time. I would bet he’s in the hospital.
A former Miami dolphins player fell out of his boat in early January years ago off west palm beach. He spent 12 hours in the water and was in the hospital due to exposure. That’s the gulfstream, so the water temps were the same as the Gulf.

I think we have a winner 🏆

Paid for luxury cabin?
On a serious note, I’m surprised he survived the fall - depending on where he fell from
Hopefully, he was vaxxed to keep him safe!
I’ll betcha he sobered up real fast.
Holy Cow!
He must have had a heck of a beer belly.

The sibling didn’t report her brother gone until noon the next day, prompting the Cozumel, Mexico-bound ship to retrace its sailing path toward New Orleans Thursday, Carnival spokesperson Matt Lupoli told the outlet.

Thanks Sis!
That’s my theory, I bet he has a hefty amount of fat for insulation and buoyancy.
11 pm to noon is 13 hours for when the ship turned back.
1) I’m actually surprised that the ship turned back.
2) How fast was it going as it head back to find him
only two hours later after traveling for 13 hours?
A dispute with other bar patrons.
His last post was on 9/24/2022.
He said in this post that he was "87 years old with plenty of comorbidities."
Just wondering, as I haven't seen any of his cruising posts in awhile. There has been plenty of cruising news with the major lines dropping vaccine requirements and now testing requirements altogether.

Oh my….he used to do shark sightings around Massachusetts too.
