There’s been a lot of prognostications such as this… from BOTH SIDES. They usually have been completely wrong or at least premature.
Time will tell. The only thing I know for certain is that the meat grinders will continue to operate and a lot of totally unnecessary deaths and injuries will be suffered.

That is incorrect as the West knows exactly what is going on here, because they orchestrated this whole dubious tactic. The West will not let Russia end this war. This is WWIII and Russia had no real options in the starting of this war and will certainly be controlled in its influence to end it. Russia will be forced to retaliate against their true opponent and even that will not end this war.

Russia is probably going to either slice off Odessa or the eastern half of Ukraine.
The government of Ukraine will then be asked to agree to toe the Russian line or face further military action.
