It actually makes a lot of sense to use EVs for certain types of business operations.

That's possible. I'd be concerned about the maintenance of an EV fleet, including the cost of charging to traditional gas.

Maintenance costs for EVs are minimal. There are far fewer moving parts, no oil changes, no transmission, etc. The repairs tend to be very infrequent and very expensive — like replacing a battery at a cost of thousands of dollars.

That last item is usually not a major concern for a business operation, as long as the vehicles are heavily used for a set period of time. One important limitation is that a company using EVs should always assume the vehicle has a residual value of $0 when it reaches the end of its useful life. Even if it’s running well after 5 years, it will be hard to sell it for much because the battery technology are few so rapidly that nobody will want the old one. A used EV is going to be like an old PC that companies can’t even donate to schools or non-profit organizations anymore.
