The parents of one of the University of Idaho massacre victims say the killer was 'sloppy' and left a 'mess' of evidence behind - but bungling cops, who are yet to identify a suspect or a motive, are blaming the Thanksgiving break for their lack of leads.
Kaylee Goncalves, 21, was one of the four students brutally knifed to death in the slaying. Her parents say police told them the crime scene 'will take a lot of time to process'.
Kaylee's roommates Madison Mogen, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20, were also stabbed to death on November 13. Xana's freshman boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20, was also killed.
Steve and Kristi Gonclaves told Fox News: 'This wasn't like a pinpoint crime. This person was sloppy.' Steve added that the killer 'made a mess there, and they're going to have to go through that point by point.'
As the investigation moves into its second week, questions continue to mount about the unsolved quadruple murders, which appears to have cops stumped as they scramble for any more information.
Last week, Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson said the Thanksgiving break had hampered the investigation because many potential witnesses are students who have already left the small college town.

I just looked at the crime stats for Moscow and the PD’s clearance rates.
The PD doesn’t get much practice with major crimes, but their clearance rates for the lesser crimes, which they do see far more often, suck.
If the Moscow PD is in fact in charge of this case, I’d gently suggest that needs to change.
If the parents trusted the people doing the investigating, they might be more inclined to do so.

Are the cops fumbling the investigation? I don’t know. I’ve shied away from reading a lot about this...it’s just so bad. I hope there’s no foolishness on the part of the investigators.

Someone set up a fake Instagram page in one of the victim's name with no content and a link to an OnlyFans account that went to a blank page.
She has a real Instagram page that has plenty of the type of content you'd expect to find on a young, attractive college student's social media but there's no OnlyFans link.
The other two roommates sound suspicious...since they woke up late that am..and said they didn’t hear anything...ex boyfriend is a possibility since supposedly he was called multiple times that day..
I have a feeling cops are not saying anything, but they have strong suspicions, and are trying to rule out any alibi by the suspect...or suspects..
Well, at least the cops had something to go on……..
I saw a photo of the blood running down on the outside.
The 911 call has not been released, so we don't know what was initially reported. "Unconscious" might be language that law enforcement is using to protect the investigation or to soften what was reported. It is also possible that this is the word used by 911 dispatch as the summary of what may have been hysterical utterings.
Send in Endeavour and Thursday, they will have it solved by the end of the week, and Moscow ID will have its surplus beer problem solved.
