Nothing really bad about a colonoscopy unless the Physician messes up. An Endoscopy is often used to check for micro bleeding. If his Hematocrit is low, then that could be serious. It must be checked.

The hematologist called in a prescription for Xarelto because he said it might be cheaper but so far, the pharmacy doesn’t have a price on it. He’s still taking the Eliquis. Coumadin and Warfarin were also mentioned but the doctor didn’t seem to prefer either of those over the Eliquis or Xarelto. When they took his catheter out, the doctor gave him Sulfameth to counter any possible infection and it broke him out in hives all over, so he had to quit that. Now he has bruises all over from scratching. Benadryl pills and ointment help with it some.
He is scared out of his mind of a colonoscopy because somebody he knew a long time ago had one and was dead 10 days later from colon cancer. I explained that he would have been dead 10 days later either way and the colonoscopy didn’t cause it, but he shuts down over it.
I think he’s just tired and over all of it.
Two things I didn’t know.
1. The “dirty” and separating blood.
2. The refrigerators full of babies.

Fair enough, carry on . . . for my part, I will continue battling the leftist gophers destroying my yard. They really ARE leftists,IMHO . . . get rid of one batch, and another shows up in a week to take their place. (There's a lesson to be learned there somewhere . . . ). Heh.
