Every Toyota we ever owed was rock solid and required very little aside from tires, brakes, and routine maintenance.
Our 1992 Toyota Truck was still going strong after 30 years. We sold it for $3K this year.
I’m a fan. It has a very well calibrated transmission. The car accelerates well but does not leap ahead almost out of control at the slightest touch of the gas pedal like the Honda.
The Toyota Avalon is comfy and reliable. The Camry and Avalon need brake rotors and struts replaced, otherwise no complaints.
Ha. I only believe Scotty Kilmer YouTube rankings. Got the first 2 right. No way on #3.
We’re a little biased towards Toyota because my wife is a Toyota engineer. They make great cars and trucks. I drove my first Tacoma for 19 years! The only issue I had was the AC compressor went about year 14 and I just didn’t bother to replace it.
4 years into into my second Tacoma and will gladly keep it another 15. Awesome truck. My kids drive a Camry for their school transportation, bought it used. No issues. My wife’s Lexus has been going strong for 17 years. Love not have car payments…
I’m not shocked at all. Owned an AMG S-55 that was wondrous when everything was working. Problem was something was always going wrong with it. I swore off Mercedes for good and will never own another one. Every car I’ve had since then has been better. Acura Chevy etc all way better
It’s just the way it is those things are downright problematic and super duper expensive to get worked on out of warranty and ate tires like there was no tomorrow
Glad to see BMW there. We have decided to sell our 22 KIA Telluride which we like but it’s a little big for my wife. So we ordered this......and it’s exactly like this even the engine. The M340i with almost 400 HP, Brookly gray, blacked out. We likey:

It surprises me Ford isn’t at the bottom... Maybe I’ve been brainwashed from all the Ford memes out there!! Lol...
Tesla USED to be near the top of the list...until Musk became the new favorite target of the Left.
I don't know...pretty impressive that a drunk woman went through an L.A. intersection at 130 mph, killing 6 and smashing into a gas station, causing an inferno - and yet see what good shape her Mercedes E-Class Coupe was in AFTER all that...
Nurse was driving 130 mph when she allegedly killed six in fiery Los Angeles crash
” which was also the *higest* mover up”
They must have fired all the editors
We’ve owned 3 Camrys since 2016. An ‘06, an ‘09 and now a 2022. We’ve put 550,000 miles on them. The ‘06 needed a water pump after about 150,000.
Other than that - nothing but routine maintenance.
Family bought a brand new Lexus SUV back in 1999 (with a trade in). It was expensive, but very well worth it. Fantastic vehicle. Definitely reliable. Mechanical problems were an incredible rarity. Usually all you had to do was regularly change the oil. I drove through vicious snowstorms (among other bad weather conditions) with that thing. I had such peace of mind going through those snowstorms knowing the Lexus was going to get me to my destination very comfortably and safely.
I’m still driving my 2006 Honda CRV. Never had a major repair yet. Mr. GG2 changes the tires, oil and brake pads. It runs like a champ.

6 used cars you SHOULD BUY according to the 20+ years of CAR WIZARD mechanic experience!
I have had 5 Mazda’s and never once did I ever have a problem with any of them.
My Jeep Cherokee is 23 yeas old and still going strong. It’s like a family pet. After a wash and wax - it looks brand new.
I wouldn’t hesitate to drive across the country in it and still see them around in good shape.
I was very surprised to learn recently that Mazda has discontinued sales of it’s very nice looking Mazda 6 sedan here in the US.
I had a loaded 2014 model, was a real nice car, the new ones looked great, especial in that reddish color.
Too bad...
“ Tesla, Chevrolet, GMC, Volkswagen, Jeep and Mercedes-Benz filled out the bottom of the list of 24 brands.”
Who the hello would be surprised by those being near the bottom?!? They are always bottom dwellers
