Golf clubs are slowly moving away from tipping. They come to find out that the service dips (of course).
If I’m running a golf club or a restaurant, I want the guy who will bust his ass at $10/hr. + tips. Not the $20/hr. clock milker who won’t get off his ass to help a member or a customer.
You get at the right club/restaurant, doing the right job and the weekly pay is almost an afterthought.

I call em as I see em.
I’ll go even further. I am an avid Bill Murray fan and my opinion is his performance in this movie is lame.

My face performances in the film are Rodney and Ted Knight - Rodney reminds me of my late father in the film - Ted Knight reminds me of me when I get angry.

He was a suit salesman from Bellmore, NY down the road a bit from where I grew up. Unfortunately the most famous person to come from my hometown (Malverne) was Tony Danza.

Having worked at the top country clubs in Colorado through high school, college, and post graduation, none of them allow tipping from members. The staff are among the elite of the service industry and are expertly trained and highly professional. They work on gratuity pools, which are nominal fees automatically added to the members' bills. If any of us were to "clock milk" or caught providing less than exceptional service that you allege, we'd be fired on the spot! Our focus was on integrity and the money reflected our success as a team.

That's right, he was the guard outside the holding cell at the end of the movie.
O/T, I awarded a team member with a "Hedley Lamarr" award for a well written, funny text last week. He had no idea who Hedley was...lol.

I hope she’s living a quiet healthy life now, wherever she is.

Rodney and Ted KnightI agree, they stood out and were hilarious, Dangerfield with his polished schtick and Knight with a brilliant performance. Of course, the rest of the cast were hampered by the poor writing and directing. Except for Murray, who showed up at the last minute and just winged his crappy performance. That's all on him.

Yep, several years ago I saw a blog post that a guy had given her a ride between little towns up there in New England. She said her name was Sarah but it was afterward that he realized it was her. He knew some people that she knew. He said she was perfectly normal and seemed fine to him.
