Idea for Marjorie Taylor Greene: Propose to shift our Ukraine subsidies back home, to shore up Social Security and/or Medicare. Americans’ Needs First!
Nov 17 2022 | Vanity

Marjorie Taylor Greene has called for “auditing” the additional billions that Biden wants to send to Ukraine. But her audit idea would still have our tax dollars going to Ukraine if the money passed the audit.

Why doesn’t she propose, instead, to use the billions to help shore up Social Security and Medicare? Republicans are always whining that those programs are going broke and we can’t afford them without big cuts. If that’s so, how can we afford sending money to other countries - especially Ukraine, where the war is helping to drive up prices and restrict supply chains worldwide?

If she proposes using the money for Americans in budget-challenged programs like Social Security and Medicare, Rep Greene will underscore the insanity of subsidizing Ukraine - because it robs us of urgently needed resources at home.

American People First. The needs of the American people should come the demands of any foreign country.

It wouldn’t be even a drop in the bucket. The entitlement programs are tens of trillions out of whack.

“Why doesn’t she propose, instead, to use the billions to help shore up Social Security and Medicare?”

You’re pretty new to this, aren’t you?

If our politicians weren’t sending the money to Ukraine they would find some other way to squander it. Social Security and Medicare are dead ducks already, they won’t be wasting money on those, especially since it would buy them zero votes if they did.

Don’t forget to build the wall.

“ It wouldn’t be even a drop in the bucket”

Every bucket of water is made up of lots of drops. Every drop is important. Every wall is made up of hundreds of brick , each is important

I remember Feinstein arguing against some drilling project because it wouldn’t be enough to make us energy independent by itself. You sound like her.

And stop arguing in favor of Kevin McCarthy’s leadership. He HATES us. Which makes me suspect her. Did she get paid off too?

The far end cost of a border wall is 25 billion (likely cost $15B).

The new proposed aid to Ukraine is $49B.

So, for half-price, the wall could be built.

Instead of spending money to protect Ukraine’s border, the money should be used to fund the construction of our border wall.

What? And give up all those kick backs and pay offs?

People have to realize that this federal government is their enemy and not their friend.

When you have a spouse that is abusive do you continue to live with that spouse? No? Then why do we enjoy getting abused by a criminal cabal in DC?

They are criminals..ever one of them. Every single thing the mob used to do illegally, the federal and state governments have made legal and now control.
Only thing left is prostitution, and even that is legal since every single son of a bitch in DC is nothing but a prostitute.

Rounding error as of now. The money pits of Iraq and Afghanistan have helped to destroy the future of America as well. The coming austerity and cuts to medicare, social security, medicaid, etc all of it needs to happen. Unfortunately, people keep on electing always spenders, regardless of party.

Another Putin stooge. This is more important than American infrastructure or Social Security or tax relief. We are fighting this proxy war to ensure that “well SOB, the prosecutor got fired, will not vanish from the earth”. There are more important things than your petty concerns about life in America. Get with the program!

Washington could spend it on us, however last time I check there are over 200 trillion in unfunded liabilities, it would not do much. However perhaps we could use them to build a wall? but that will probably reduce worker drones to continue supporting the unfunded liabilities. This is a hard question, how about we just launder it though Ukraine and forget about the drones and save ourselves? yea that seems easy enough.

True. But you miss one very important thing.

The NazicRATS want to spread those illegals around within the USA to be able to get them to vote in the next election.
I dont care who runs for POTUS on the republican side the next election. They wont win.

What’s the point of a wall if the government just lets aliens and drugs in through the official POE?

Kicking Russian corruption and influence out of Europe will, over time, bring trillions in economic benefit to the US. But I guess we’d rather Make Russia Great Again.

No -- she's being practical. We are going to have a razor-thin margin in the House, and least one RINO has announced he's willing to work with Democrats to elect a speaker if Republicans can't agree. So if McCarthy has the support of the majority of Republicans in the House, but the Freedom Caucus won't vote for him for Speaker, we get a Democrat speaker.

That would be the worst possible outcome, so MTG is just doing what makes the most sense.

I think you save more money in the long-term by degrading the Russian military right now, when someone else is doing all the fighting and with mostly their own equipment.

In a round about way. She gets her committee seats back and that’s where the money is made. For instance, if you’re on the AG committee, Big AG gives you kickbacks. Maybe a family member suddenly gets a 6-7 figure job at an AG company. Maybe they donate to your campaign depending on the timing. Maybe you start a foundation and they donate to it.
