Fifty-seven years ago, Ayn Rand predicted the red wave sweeping America today.

The Left Cashes In On The Real Red Wave By Eileen F. Toplansky Indeed, there was a red wave but not the one conservatives had hoped for. It was, however, the continuation of the leftists’, Marxists’, and communists’ eternal obsession to destroy America and obliterate her values—and Ayn Rand predicted it in her 1965 seminal book titled The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution.

Frighteningly prescient, Rand understood the beginnings of the “intellectual disintegration” that is now front and center in most colleges. Fifty-seven years later, the Left is “cashing in” on its quest for ultimate power.

Ground Zero was the “so-called student ‘rebellion’” that started at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1964. Billed as a Free Speech Movement, it was anything but. William Peterson, a professor of sociology at the time, wrote:

The first fact one must know about the Free Speech Movement is that it has little or nothing to do with free speech . . . . If not free speech, what then is the issue? In fact, preposterous as this may seem, the real issue is the seizure of power.

Now living in a woke United States, it is no longer preposterous at all as we realize that “the Free Speech Movement is reminiscent of the Communist fronts of the 1930s” wherein “the key feature [was] that [of] a radical core that uses legitimate issues ambiguously [emphasis mine] in order to manipulate a large mass.”

Here is our strategy:

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJB

We apply that strategy to the area of the battlefield-- the imagination of man and his thoughts. This is where spiritual battles are waged--- in the unseen realm of the mind. As the Lord our God created each one of us as unseen living souls embedded within physical matter, our unseen minds or intellects are to our souls as our physical brains are to our physical bodies. Thus the mind interfaces with the physical realm through the brain.

The word "thought" shows that the conflict is not physical, but is in the spiritual realm of ideas and imaginations against the truth. People have always had trouble with their imagination, the deluge itself having been the God-imposed penalty for man's imagination, which was "only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5).

The spiritual realm of the mind is where Satan challenges God. He plants thoughts, ideologies, anti-creation origin accounts (ie., Darwinism), utopian fantasies, poisonous ideologies, and so on.

Because thoughts, ideologies, and so on are of the spiritual realm their consequences are unseen, hence unknown to those who embrace them.

When we enter into spiritual combat, we are contending against Satan, Powers, Principalities, and demons as they are the 'authors' of all 'knowledge' that exalts itself against the Lord our God. Thus we really are marching into 'gunfire' (unseen fiery darts, knives, oppression) with our Bibles, prayers, and the Lord our God.
