In 1970 we did a Reserve “summer camp” at what was then Camp Drum...near Watertown. I got talking to a Regular Army LT who had wintered over the previous winter. Back then Camp Drum was basically for Reserve and National Guard summer camps and he told me that by the end of the winter some buildings were completely buried in snow.

Yay! Love 4+ feet of Michigan lake-effect snow while sitting at the deer camp. Comes with a tad of whisky and a long evening of poker - five card draw.
