I cannot believe what Clay Travis said today on the EIB station. "TRUMP SHOULD AGREE TO SUPPORT THE TICKET IF HE LOSES THE PRIMARY"
November 16, 2022 | self

Clay Travis said today he thought Trump should agree to support the nominee, if he(Trump) did not win the nomination.

I think that is an incredibly naive position. Does anyone think the RNC is trustworthy? Would anyone trust Mitch McConnell to be honest and fair? The only way Trump will have any leverage at all is to not to promise to support the ticket if he is not treated fairly. The GOPe Republican Establishment might joins forces with the Democrats to eliminate Trump, or clandestinely work against Trump in the primary. Why do they call it the Uniparty?

Third party would be almost an automatic Rat victory!
You can’t take GOP numbers cut them by say 30% and expect to win. You think a Trump third party will get cross over Rat votes? If there’s anything Rat’s do well its show solidarity. Oh, you think it’s 1860!

Travis was/is a sports journalist and he’s closer to Hannity in intellect than he is to Limbaugh. You can relax because Trump isn’t going to pay attention to him anyway.

I agree with Travis. If someone other than Trump legitimately defeats him in the primaries, he should support that winner. What is the alternative? Support the Democrat? If Trump loses in the primaries to someone else, then the people, will have spoken. He should support the Republican candidate and not be a sore loser.

We’re going to lose to the ballot harvesters anyways. So why should he support the nominee?

Scream. Cry. Throw a temper trantrum. Yell that it was stolen. I think we know the playbook. Support the team that beat him? Unlikely

I assume that his support would depend on the nominee. Why should he commit to support a candidate simply because they will have the “R” next to their name on the ballot? He also shouldn’t rule out a third-party run. He owes the party nothing.

Trump should make no promises. Let them wonder what he might do. This will minimize the GOPe duplicity. Otherwise, they will sabatoge his primary run. If they sabatoge him, he will expost their duplicity, and they will get the blame they deserve.

Do you think I am overly paranoid?

Good grief. We really want a democratic president around here. If we can’t have what we want, we tear the whole place down that sounds good in theory, but in reality, it stinks the Democrats didn’t pass near what they wanted to this time but they will the next time. DC as a state. Expand the Supreme Court. I think I I even need to with quite a few of our Supreme Court justices in their 70s.

Agree 100%. If GOP tries to cheat Trump in the primaries with the democrat’s cheat machine, Trump should absolutely run third party. The GOP is not a real party anyway. Both parties are fake. They take orders from America’s real rulers and it ain’t us.

That is a perfect summation, as apt today as 100 years ago and applicable to any and all parties.

Totally stealing.

And yes, *any* candidate who doesn’t support the nominee should be kicked out of their party, period, no exemptions, exceptions, or exclusions.

Trump owes Mitch McConnell nothing. He should simply say, "it depends on who the nominee is".

“Trump should explicitly NOT support the ticket. He should run third party. If the Repukes win or if the Rats win it makes no difference.”

Not.
