A passenger on a United Airways flight became irate after yelling that her toddler needed to throw up, leading to a physical altercation with flight attendants.
The incident on a flight from San Francisco to Chicago Sunday morning began after the woman stood up while the plane was beginning to land. She screamed that her toddler needed to throw up and was then told by flight attendants to sit down.
The woman then shoved a flight attendant, sending her to a Chicago hospital. Another woman and a 3-year-old were also taken to hospitals for observation.
The passenger, who was being addressed as Sarah, was removed by Chicago police after the plane landed at Chicago's O'Hare airport.
Police had been alerted to reports of a 'disturbance' on United Flight 476.
The plane had departed San Francisco heading to Chicago when the bizarre inflight incident occurred that was all captured on video by another passenger.
In the video, several flight attendants are seen in the crowded aisle confronting a screaming woman who was holding a small child and she yells out: 'Where is it?' Fox News reported.
One of the female flight attendants is heard saying in a slightly panicked tone: 'Ma'am we are landing.' Before saying: 'Sarah, step back. Step back. Sarah, step back!'
The flight attendant continues to tell her to 'step back' as another flight attendant is seen running to help assist in front of the plane.
The woman whose child appears to be crying is pointing her finger toward the face of one of the female flight attendants, as other passengers remain seated and calm.
It is unclear what triggered the female passenger before the meltdown occurred.

These things called "barf bags"? Are the airlines so cheap anymore that they don't have them in every seat?
I mean I understand this mother as toddlers are not like drunk adults on St Patrick's day. Adults vomit in a downward motion so as not to spoil everyone else's fun but not toddlers.
Toddlers have not learned this yet. Toddlers projectile vomit. So I can kinda understand why this mother was in a state of panic. However if the stewardess was not going to let her take the kid to the bathroom or get the kid a barf bag, if there are any it will be up to the staff to clean up all the vomit the kid projectile vomits all over the cabin of the plane.
My daughter was on her way home from Hawaii, when a toddler behind her through up and it got all over, no bags and nothing to clean it up but napkins. She has to fly 5 hours with barf on her feet. She was pregnant and trying not to throw up from the odor.
America deserves to die off if this is our new normal.
What airline company was that?
In the old days we had barf bags on airlines. Even adults hurled not just kids.
Going from San Francisco to Chicago?.......I don’t blame the kid.......just thinking about is making me nauseated. 😏

Gone overboard there, eh.
What if we have a populace that can raise kids?

I have a theory that the woman thought the child swallowed something dangerous. Perhaps a pill.
She wasn’t saying that the child was about to throw up, she was suggesting that she needed to get her to throw up.
Why was she asking “Where is it?”
Must have been one heck of a shove! ... all the way from final approach to a hospital in one push!?
FTA:
“”...The woman then shoved a flight attendant, sending her to a Chicago hospital””
Excellent questions.
We know how helpful (NOT) stewardess are on airlines with children so the kid may very well have done something like that. No wonder the mom was in panic mode.
I was on a flight with some college friends. One guy stood up moaning and holding his side. He loudly said he was feeling sick and leaned over and pretended to vomit into the bard bag. The bag had been filled with beef stew.
His buddy stood up and took the bag and told him to go freshen up. He then picked up a spoon from his tray and began to eat the contents of the barf bag in front of the horrified crowd.
There was a rush for the bathrooms.
College boys?
That story bringeth me of ill.
Maybe he had swallowed something bad like a bead or a coin.
Thankfully we have the British press cheerleading on the panic on the plane. It's a shame that so many pax didn't react.

I think that post above that the child swallowed a pill from mommy's purse may be on the mark.
LOL, women are some powerful creatures these days. Just ask hollywood.
