More Covidiocy.
On the remote front, my daughter interviewed with a company for a 100% remote job. I don’t remember why but they are only able to operate in certain states and they told her she would have to relocate FOR A REMOTE JOB!
She took a different job. She said the new company is based in Portland Oregon. In a zoom meeting last week they told her how important it was for her to vote.
She didn’t let on that her votes would be for the conservatives.
In Minnesota, which votes Left about as much as any other state. I have zero sympathy. Change your politicians.
I’ve done some occasional consulting for the company I retired from. All from home. The last contract was prepaid due to a budgeting issue. About three quarters through the work I got an email letting me know that all employees and contractors, on site or remote, were required to provide proof of vaccination. I basically said “none of your business.” Needless to say, I finished the work and I’m not expecting any follow on work. When I joined the company in the mid-’90s it was very conservative. Now their web site proudly states all their woke pledges.
“I was told I would be placed on unpaid leave starting on Nov. 1. If I chose to be vaccinated by the end of the year, the position would be given back to me,” she continued.

That’s not a choice. That’s coercion.
Another reason people aren’t gonna go back to work.
Doubt it
As soon as the “vaccines” were announced as available I spoke with one of my attorneys and then my regular doctor who wrote a letter telling me not to take it for medical reasons
Attorney said that if any employer pushed back against a medical exemption that would open them to all sorts of shit
That said, I have multiple;e friends and relative who paid a few different doctors between 75 and 150$ bucks for a brief consultation and letter showing medical exemption and even some of the bigger liberal run companies didn’t push back on those at all. That shouldn’t be necessary in the first place but ....
Did she file a request for exemption for religious grounds? If so, she has a much better chance of winning a lawsuit.
Same thing happened to me. I took a contract with a NY based bank for a 100% remote role. Everything went fine....then they insisted I provide proof I’d taken the vax...even though I’m, get this...100% remote.
What was I going to do, infect somebody through the internet?
It was annoying but I was able to get another contract with a different bank about a month later.
This is simply bullying to agree with their vax bias.
If your job can be done remotely, guess what, your job can be done remotely by anyone, anywhere. There is no job security in that. How did she get a mortgage?
There are some openings at Twitter is she wants to work for a company not requiring the vax. But she will have to go into the office.
