Was he ‘Real Genius’ like Lazlo Hollyfeld?
Afraid to offend the black kid.
I had a black roommate in college. He pulled a knife on me once. I complained, and he was transferred out, to another dorm, where he did the same thing with his new roommate. School was afraid to punish him.
I know that I really hate it when people lie about their credentials...
Interestingly, in the early 70's while I was attending the University of Oklahoma, we had several squatters doing the same thing.
Makes a great film or TV show, but usually stuff like this goes terribly wrong, like at Sarah Lawrence with the student’s dad living in the dorms and pimping out the women.
From time-to-time students who are accepted into a college or university will scam the institution by moving into a dorm and getting on a meal plan and actually attend classes for a few weeks with the promise that the student loan funds will arrive shortly. The funds are non-existant and the “student” gets freebies for several weeks and then the next quarter or semester starts it all over at another college.
Off-the-scale crazy Korean kid who was previously ordered by a judge to receive treatment, was ignored or lost to follow-up and allowed to be until he bought a lot of weapons and killed 32 persons, injuring another 17.
Long premonitory history of stalking, acting crazy in class, having imaginary friends, etc.
Of course everyone's fear of calling out a protected crybaby minority person led ultimately to the massacre.
If he had been white he probably would never have been admitted to Virginia Tech. He might be incarcerated or committed. He might even be better and mainstream. Not to mention the other 32 people in the story.
Being afraid to speak up can have deadly consequences as seen at Fort Hood. But when some people do speak up they are shamed or ignored.
...and told officers that he was an unhoused person trying to escape the rain...

“Unhoused Person” — another one for the Newspeak dictionary.
I posted something about this guy a month or two ago. Stanford security has a real problem.
Well he “identifies” as a Stanford student. That should be good enough.
/liberal logic
We had the same situation happen when I was in college way back in the 80s.
African American kid. Living illegally in the campus-approved dorms. Harassing all the girls. Dressed in school clothes. Going to all the parties. School authorities who would do nothing for months on end.
He was an Ivy League fantasist living the dream.
Judging by the type of muddled thinking from our graduates, plenty of people live in the dorms, pretending they are students.
When they graduate the same reasoning that allows this kind of thing to happen is used in daily post school life...as in, you don’t really belong here?....well, whatever. omg, I didn’t know!
The administrators coddle the paying customers,so they ain’t doin’ nothing.
