Way to keep the season going, Dude!

Even though I’ve been covering them at night, my three outside pots (too heavy to move; poor planning on my part) I think by today the lettuces and spinach will be toast, so I’m going to harvest what I can this afternoon if they thaw out! We had frozen spinach in our wraps at lunch - it worked, LOL!

In the greenhouse, under cover, lettuces and arugula are holding their own.

It’s hard to let things go, but with these sub-freezing temps since Thursday (when it was 70!!) there’s not much more I can do but eat up what we can and start hibernating, ourselves. :)

Frozen spinach works in soup! Nice to have a Greenhouse! Some pipe heating cable and heavy Frost fabric might give your plants a lot of protection! (Then again, Its a bit of a relief to be done gardening for the year and be able to do other things like look at your seed catalogues! ) It warmed up to upper 30s and was sunny today, so I went out and watered everything today. Snow here tomorrow night that will move across Missouri. It was warm to my hand inside the low tunnels today so maybe I will get faster growth after all.

End of the weeks it will be in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the upper 20s, so I can leave the tarps off overnight. Maybe I will get my 3 weeks more growth
