The space agency is still targeting a two-hour launch window on Wednesday, November 16, that begins at 1:04 a.m. ET for liftoff of Artemis I. It will mark the inaugural flight of the new Space Launch System rocket and send an uncrewed Orion spacecraft on a test flight around the moon.
The space agency had decided to roll out the SLS rocket to the launchpad November 4 while the storm was still an unnamed system brewing off the East Coast.
Nicole left some substantial issues to be addressed, Free said. Some caulking came loose on the Orion spacecraft that ground crews will “snip off,” water leaked into the crew access arm — an aerial runway that astronauts will eventually use to board the Orion capsule — and there was a rip in the rain cover that protected one of the SLS rocket’s engines, Free said. Repairs are also needed on an electrical connector.
Free noted that NASA will attempt to power up the rocket Friday before moving into routine testing on Sunday...
NASA spokesperson confirmed to CNN that sensors at the 467-foot (142-meter) level of the lightning towers indicated the wind peak reached up to 100 miles per hour (87 knots) at that location.

So when it fails miserably they can blame the Hurricane ?
or will they also blame Trump cause he pulled out of the Paris Accord which caused the unseasonable Hurricane ?
Deja vu
Something about the SRBs will go out of warranty in December.
The delays are causing quite a bit of turmoil. Quick Disconnects with the LH2 were known issues, there is a stack time (that’s a lot of weight stacked on the Aft skirt) and Orion capsule has been a source of disappointment for quite a while
The structure is rated for more force than what it saw, the disappointments now are shorter excursion time, and night launch (cannot see any debris that comes free at night).
Is this that historic launch from three months ago with the first female mission controller?
Hasn’t SpaceX launched like 3 rockets in that same time frame? What lunatics would get on this flight? Oh wait, it’s dummie dummies and not real dummies.
Who'll be watching then?
Nothing good happens after midnight...
Kind of Challenger vibe here. “Weather parameters are close, could be some damage... but with political pressure rising... we feel pretty good it’ll work”.
Hope it does.
