The Miss Greater Derry event was launched in 1986. According to its official website, its scholarship “recognizes their achievements in scholastic, aptitude, talent, character, community service and poise.” The event is held for those between the ages of 17 years old and 24 years old.
There is nothing in the requirement to enter for it to be female, and it has nothing to do with appearance. It’s almost the direct opposite of the Miss World, Miss America, or Miss Global where female gender is a requirement to be in the competition. The Miss American determination was just supported by a case under U.S. District Judge Michael Mosman that the term natural born female, in the requirements for competition is freedom of speech. The prosecutor in the case suggested that Ms. Green, the one suing, start her own pageant using her own definitions but not to destroy the current pageants that have been using the same rules for many years. And the Derry isn’t one of them as it requires no gender clarification.
But unfortunately, the Derry is being used for a political stance, not for the application of scholarships. And this stupidity is available because the media makes it so. And they are not telling the entire truth and using the uneducated to make their point to sell papers.

Yes, I know that (as can be inferred from my post), but my point is that allowing (and even embracing) these type of Woke shenanigans significantly diminishes their chances for winning or placing--not to mention making a mockery of the whole enterprise. And if they have any moral objections to enabling this perversion, they should not participate solely on principle.
Miss Gendered.
I thought the same thing about the MALE swimmer. All of the actual female swimmers should have gotten off their podium and refused to participate in this fraud. Also, they should have taken a knee and stayed that way for the entire race. Let him race alone.
This is a horrid development. Women's sports are being destroyed, along with young women's lives and opportunities.
And there is the problem. Look at all those young women surrounding the freak, happily grinning. Every single one of them has rubberstamped this freak show with their blessing. Women are the cause of this nightmare

This indicates it is for females, and there are 13 humans in that image. 12 of them are females. How many times in the past have young men participated in the "The Miss Greater Derry event" as men?
Given that the country is $40 Trillion in debt, we are being invaded by millions of illegal criminals each year, our military has been hollowed out, we have a vegetable in the Oval Office and another vegetable placed in the Senate with people speculating if he could run for President, you may be right, perhaps this is no big deal.
