'It shattered my momma heart': Utah mother is left devastated after inviting 27 children to three-year-old daughter Avery's birthday party - only for NONE of them to show up

A mother has shared her devastation after she invited 27 children to her daughter's third birthday party - only for none of them to show up.

Mom-of-three Breanna Strong, 27, from Salt Lake City, Utah, threw what she thought would be a massive celebration for her daughter, Avery, at KidsTopia Playground - a 'jungle-themed indoor playground' with giant slides, ball pits, and tunnels.

She ordered pizzas, an intricate Frozen-themed cake, and tons more goodies, expecting at least some of the 27 kids she had invited to come.

However, she was left devastated for her three-year-old daughter when not one of the invited guests turned up for the party.

She opened up about the heart wrenching ordeal on TikTok in a video that quickly went viral - gaining more than four million views in a matter of days - and resulted in many people around the world sending Avery their love.

We invited 27 kids to Avery's third birthday party. Not a single one of her friends showed up,' Breanna wrote in the video, as she showed off the empty room.

'Money and time wasted. Breaks my momma heart so bad. Literally going to go home and snuggle my babies.'

One clip featured Avery sitting by herself and eating some pizza, before the mother took the rest and dropped it in the garbage. Another saw Breanna holding back tears as she drove home from the failed party.

'I wish I was making this up,' she added in the caption.

This is not the first story I’ve seen like this. There have been others. If this was the first then I say “hmmm” but I’ve seen it happen to older kids and just can’t believe how rude some are.

Stuff on the Internet lasts forever, and people with an interest remember it. (I remember things from before there even was a ‘WWW’.)

I still don’t believe the story.

27 invites for a 3 yr. old is a bit much.

How about a small group with some RSVPs before spending the money?

The planning should be direct face to face or a phone call to parents you know.

Fake.

No one who has a refrigerator throws away a whole pizza.

In fact even people without a fridge throws away a whole pizza, as they are fine the next day regardless

3 years old is a little young for a massive party. Should have just invited one or two neighbor kids over for cake and ice cream.

“Breaks my momma heart.” Dumb statement. Take a hint, lady: 27 people did not even waste their time by making an RSVP. In other news, Trump will be president again and then Americans will see more jobs, less inflation and busier judges. I read that the Pentagon is building more courtrooms at Guantánamo Bay. Good news.

Who were the 27 kids? Did she message the invitation on the daycare’s Facebook page? Had all 27 kids’ parents said the child was going to attend?

Especially with a mom savvy enough to use social media to not have any idea or get any messages no one is showing?

Maybe she didn’t actually send an invite?

I’ve seen this type of fake story before. Pretty lame using your child to go viral on social media.

A mother has shared her devastation after she invited 27 children to her daughter's third birthday party - only for none of them to show up.

The mom sounds like she's taking it all way too seriously. The kid's three years old - she doesn't care now and she'll never even remember this when she's older.

Sorry for the kid, but I can’t believe this is the kind of thing that passes for worldwide “news” these days.

Although they sometimes publish news that other outlets won't, the Daily Mail is pretty much just a trash tabloid. They love finding silly stories like this to print, and the US is full of 'em.

When I was 3, I’m pretty sure I didn’t even know 27 other children, but then my whole family is made up of introverts.

Happened to my son, Justin, who has Asbergers.

Sent out 30 invites. Rented a pool. Food, cake, goodie bags, prepping for the kids. Spent $300.

One kid showed.

My son and this boy ate like kings, swam till they were pruned, and I loaded the boy up with goodie bags.

The young man told Justin it was the best party he ever went to. When it was his birthday and he invited Justin, my son was the only kid to show up.

I gave him a $100 gift card. He was so excited, he hugged me when I picked Justin up at the end. His mom thanked me for saving the party. They had a great time.

Her son has Asbergers, too.

I learned. From that point forward, I asked my son if he wanted a big party or more gifts. He chose gifts every time. Otherwise, it was taking him and one or two friends out to an amusement center and spending big.

I always got excited for a party, always went even if I wasn’t good friends with someone, always genuinely wanted them to have a great day, and my mom always made sure I brought a nice gift.

Different world now. Good manners are lost on this generation.
