Afederal appeals court in Louisiana has ordered the release of two leaders the election watchdog group True the Vote after they were detained for contempt of court late last month.
A panel of three GOP-appointed judges for the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals late Sunday ordered group President Catherine Engelbrecht and one-time board member Gregg Phillips to be released, show court documents obtained Monday by Just the News.
A spokesperson for True the Vote told The Epoch Times Engelbrecht and Phillips are expected to be released Monday, "when the paperwork is complete."
The two leaders were sent to jail Oct. 31 in Texas for not complying with a court order to turn over evidence relating to their legal battle against Michigan-based poll watcher software firm Konnech.

Real crime was that they told the truth and embarrassed the FBI.
These two must have had better lawyers than the J-6 people.
Yup. What worries me a bit, though not clear from this article, is whether the judge who jailed them will actually release them.
Perhaps i am misreading:
...”Phillips initially posted Monday on his Truth Social account that Judge Kenneth Hoyt, who originally sent the two activists to jail, had yet to comply with the court’s order.
“This cannot be legal,” Phillips’ account said. He has since deleted the post.”
They were released, yesterday.
Doesn’t matter, the deep state got in its licks and made its point. If you dare tell the truth or buck the system, you will spend time in jail, even for only a few days. That threat is enough to gain compliance from 95% of the population.
I remember when they did it to Millennial Millie. She had done a big documentary on the DOD. Haven’t heard from her since.
Haynes, Engelhardt and Oldham.
Catharina Haynes [Dubya - unanimous consent], Kurt D. Engelhardt [Trump - 62 to 34 vote] and Andy Oldham [Trump - 50 to 49 vote]
Another vote machine manufacturer controlling the DOJ. Hello Dominion. Who made them so powerful? OH YEAH...
“He didn’t win did he.”
It's the courts/politics, not the prisoners' lawyers.
You can't drag it out as a political stunt if you bring the case to trial quickly
...which is supposed to be a right...a speedy trial.
Amdt 6.2.1 Overview of the Right to a Speedy Trial
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial...
Courts do not have discretion to fashion less drastic remedies after finding a violation of the Speedy Trial Clause.15
Also, as the saying goes...location is everything.
