Sounds reasonable, but the second half of your point is usually left unsaid. And in my view yapping about the imperfections of your favorite candidates imperfections is as you’ve said simply an effort to avoid being labeled a cultist. In other words, it’s virtue signaling. Good points all. I won’t defend Trump, all I can say is don’t let perfect get in the way of good. I saw the Miami rally today and DeSantis was not there. At the rally, Trump did not say anything except that voters need to re-elect him. So, who was being petty, maybe both?

Possible, but I’m not buying. DeSantis did not attend the rally in Miami. That was a definite, deliberate and unnecessary snub. Trump’s little dig at the Latrobe, PA rally was not a big deal but just a minor note of displeasure. At the Miami Rally, Trump told voters they need to re-elect DeSantis.

It’s... Perplexing. Why in the world would Trump start a pissing contest with DeSantis this close to the midterms? Maybe he figures in some oddball way that it would actually help DeSantis by making him seem less than a Trump clone, but that’s kind of stretching it.

Trump literally allowed the swamp to steam roll him. He had a great opportunity to pick good people that would have cleansed cleaned house but he chose career swamp people to run his administration. His EPA appointment was a disaster and did jack shit. We are feeling the effects of Obama era rules now. Fuel costs through the roof which makes everything expensive

I think DeSantis may be the best candidate we've had since Reagan. Conservative, disciplined, and wicked-smart. And a fantastic, well-publicized term as governor.

I voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020, and I'd vote for him if he's the nominee in 2024. But I don't think he can/will win, and at this point, I'd prefer both DeSantis and Pompeo to him.

There aren't, and never were, 81 million fans of Joe Biden. But there just may be 80+ million who hate Trump.

If you haven't encountered many of those, you live in a bubble. I live on the outskirts of a major Midwest city, and once you get in that city, the irrational hatred of Trump was widespread and intense.
