My every experience with BOA demonstrated that they were, across the board, utterly incompetent.

“Commanders” sounds gay.

Yup, they should have just renamed them the Washington Warriors....as in Indian Warrior, kept the colors and logo, and then flipped everybody off.

A much more appropriate name for a Washington DC team:

“Washington Gangsters”

Cleveland was the best name change though... They were called the Indians to honor Louis Sockalexis of the Penobscot Nation. Louis Sockalexis was the star player of Clevelands previous professional baseball team, the Spiders. Seriously, they couldn’t defend that?

“What about the Ford family?...and THE most “abused” fan-base in the NFL?”

They need to be locked up for fraud.

The team will be purchased by a consortium of rich POCs: Jay Z, LeBron, etc. The sale will fly through without a hitch.

I'm not sure of this but I think I recall hearing one,or more,Indian tribes saying that they weren't offended by the names of various sports teams. If that's true then the changes were *entirely* for the benefit for white suburban (and inner city) guys with manbuns.

Rename them the Albatrosses because that's what they are. Going broke? Get Woke and Go More Broke.

Then again, call them the Kneeling Virtue Whiners.

The last poll I saw - a few years ago - said that 9 out of 10 American Indians were NOT offended by ‘Redskins’ and similar names.

This is like Kwanzaa - something largely bought-into by White people.

Likely true, there’s a number of articles on tribes across the country that support native American names such as Indians, Chiefs,...etc. The list includes Florida’s Seminole tribe.

I’ve heard that fans of the team hate Snyder. Sometimes fans are apprehensive when a team is sold. This time, fans will be excited to see Snyder sell.

Have the Redskins/Commanders been competitive in recent years? If not fans may be unhappy if he hasn’t tried to stay competitive.

I am old enough to remember when the Redskins were the toast of DC.

In August, 1979, I was riding the DC Metro (subway) along with a number of Redskins fans who were headed to a pre-season game at DC Stadium. This wasn't even a regular season game, but they were bursting with enthusiasm. At one point, they started singing the team's theme song, "Hail to the Redskins."

How many fans of other NFL teams know their team's theme song? The theme song for my home team, the LA Rams, sounds like a TV game show theme and I don't think it even has lyrics.

The downfall started when Jack Kent Cook moved to soulless Laurel, MD

Cook built his stadium in Landover, MD, not Laurel. It was thrown up in a hurry and with companies doing the building forced on him by locals. It is a crap stadium, no doubt, regardless of who built it.

“ Whoever buys it turn it back to the Redskins already! Dumshit Snyder.”

Move the team to San Antonio and call them the Bandits.

Exactly,

The common denominator of all the losing seasons since the 90s = Dan Snyder.

He totally took the spirit out the team and turned it into nothing more than a commercial business with personality to a quarter fed vending machine.

Screw that clown.

There’s nothing that inspires a local politician to hand out taxpayer money to ball teams like the computer generated view of the field from his freebie seats in the luxe suites of the new stadium.

If I were Snyder I would sell the team to China or some Saudi Royal.

He should make his exit as painful as possible. If the net worth of Washington is 5-6 billion dollars he should stake out his ground that he wants 10 billion dollars to sell the franchise.

Roger Goodell is the worst. He deserves the worst.
