Why does the Democratic Party promote demented young women and senile old ladies to elected and appointed offices. No civilization in world history has ever done this nonsense. The men they select seem to be mostly perverts. Will the American nation survive this lunacy?

AOC will lose some of her ‘free speech’ rights after the November elections. With the house becoming republican controlled, she won’t have the same status and many of her appearances will be of lesser importance, hence, nobody will care what she has to say. When the AOC tree falls from grace in congress, will anybody hear her or care?

Perhaps Nancy Pelosi could use her as a caretaker for Paul Pelosi and her.

The $8 blue check idea IS kind of stupid though (for different resons). In the past the blue check meant you were “verified” or for sure the real person, now anyone can say they are Tom Cruise or Donald Trump and nobody knows

The $8 is to make up for way overpaying for twitter for his own weird personal reasons

If I were a mainstream social media user, I would consider a yearly fee to replace ads and tracking. Something has to pay for it. But I am not. I do donate to FR when I can (unemployed at the moment).

AOC is great. I’ve frequently used her as an example to my wife of proof positive that even an idiot like me could get into office.

So what? She’ll be re-elected, and one day will have as much money as Pelosi.

She is defacto American royalty. She can say or do nearly anything she wants.

I blame the Professors at Boston University that gave AOC a degrees in economics instead of flunking her out.

All I care about is — one week from today — her and The Squat putting up candidates against Nanzi for all the Minority positions, and burning down the House if they don’t get their way. Make J6 look like a Sunday picnic.

AOC’s nonsense is about triggering people to disagree with her, to cement in people’s minds that Musk is proffering Twitter as an instrument of free speech. Which it is not.

The free speech issue is a facade. Musk has himself stated the true goal of his Twitter purchase, and it has nothing to do with free speech. It has to do with CONTROL.

What Elon Musk has said publicly — and in private texts — about X, his idea for an 'everything app'

If Elon Musk's deal to buy Twitter closes, the billionaire will have taken the first step toward something he calls "X," his vision for a new kind of social media platform that most in the US haven't experienced before.

An "everything app," as Musk puts it.

The Tesla CEO has said the acquisition will act as "an accelerant" to creating X — jump-starting the process by three to five years.

Musk has been talking about building X for months. In August, when a Twitter user asked him whether he had considered creating his own social platform, he replied, "X.com" — a web domain he bought over five years ago. At Tesla's annual shareholder meeting that same month, Musk said he had "a pretty grand vision" for X as "something that would be very useful to the world.”

X wouldn't be the first app trying to do a bit of everything. In fact, Musk indicated in May (he) might look for inspiration from Tencent's WeChat, a Chinese social media juggernaut that's one of the largest super-apps in the world.

Just like his endeavors as co-founder of Neuralink.

Wikipedia:

In April 2017, Neuralink announced that it was aiming to make devices to treat serious brain diseases in the short-term, with the eventual goal of human enhancement, sometimes called transhumanism.

Musk is a globalist, getting his marching orders from the likes of Schwab and Harari.

Whatever Twitter becomes, it will involve blockchain, digital currency, eventually leading to Digital ID - all of which are incompatible with ideas like free speech.

"If you're in China, you kind of live on WeChat," he said. "It does everything — sort of like Twitter, plus PayPal, plus a whole bunch of things, and all rolled into one, with a great interface.

It truly will be an "everything app." And that should scare the crap out of anyone who believes in freedom and individual liberty.
