Kids don’t ride bicycles any more.

I see them on these electric skateboard things and one kid in the neighborhood has a one wheel thing he rides..............

What fun ... when my folks moved into a senior apartment I inherited my mom’s one-speed coaster bike from about 1950. I remember riding it with her when I was very little (I was in the basket in front!) and remember it being very smooth. I’d like to get it repaired and ride it again, but it’s not a high priority. Would just be fun.

The other day I was riding my bicycle around the skateboard park.
It was very early.

One thing about bike shops — depending upon the shop, they have a lot of great arm-chair mechanics and restoration guys that can take the parts from a 1936 Frigidaire and turn into a unicycle. If you recall the Wright Bros had a bicycle shop/business.

Call a shop and ask if they know someone nearby that could do a rebuild and from there it could get as simple or exotic as you want.

I miss my Raleigh Grand Prix. I just don’t have the knees for that sort of thing anymore. Had to sell it. A very nice bike. Paid only $219 for it in 1980.

Washington DC: bright sunny day, temperature in the 60’s, bike ready to go.

I do love global warming.

Get an electric with throttle. Pedal ‘til your knees hurt...throttle until they stop hurting...rinse and repeat. t helps the knees.

I have an electric trike and love it.

I just got bumped into the 65-69 group on Strava. There are far fewer people to compete against on segments. It is a little surprising how many people hung it up between 55-64. But there are some fast times.

Depends where you are, Here in this "low income" densely populated city then they still do, though less, and even less after about age 14, and with $700+ 29'' "SE" bikes being the "thing" for such teens, then it is of to motor bikes.

I meant to spell "lowest." Here is one for adults: Decathlon Rockrider ST50, 21 Speed Aluminum Mountain Bike, 26", Unisex, Black, Extra Large $128.00 You cannot build such for less than twice the price.
