California dad, 22-year-old daughter stabbed to death by homeless man: cops
A California man and his 22-year-old daughter have been stabbed to death by a homeless man while they were working on their car outside a Kohl’s, police said.
Ken Evans, 54, and McKenna Evans were spending time together around noon Thursday tinkering on their sedan in Palmdale, just north of Los Angeles, when the man attacked them for no apparent reason, the LA Times reported.
Ken was rushed to a hospital, where he died, while his daughter was pronounced dead at the scene.
LA County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a suspect, who they said may be a transient, the newspaper reported.
Elizabeth Evans, the victims’ devastated wife and mother, mourned the shocking loss.

Thanks to liberals, the USA is now a 3rd world shithole in many places.
Los Angeles County has been plagued with homeless men stabbing people to death. Just last week a transient went on a spree in Long Beach killing one and injuring several others. A year ago a homeless man walked into a high-end furniture store and savagely stabbed a beautiful young woman to death who worked there.
Many other cases. An especially horrific one was in Venice some time ago where a transient walked into a restaurant by the pier and immediately killed a man sitting at a table having dinner, right in front of his horrified family.
We don’t even hear about the ones where people are merely injured.
Was the father clueless? How do you let a homeless get that close to you and family.
Back in the early 80s my GF and I were in my disabled vehicle on 101 near Santa Barbara awaiting a tow when some roadside wonderer who had followed me to my vehicle began pounding on the driver’s side window while yelling at me. At that point I was in no position to fight this POS so I just pointed by Det Special at him and said if this window breaks you die. He got the message and moved away. Glad I am not in Cal these days because I would probably have ended up in jail and been sued.
We need a new “Civilian Conservation Corps” for homeless.
Arrested for vagrancy? You get to spend 6 months, living in a barracks, digging irrigation ditches in the desert, or cutting dead trees in the forest.
