Don't limit your suggestions to the link. That's just a placeholder. Thanks!
I watch The Bearded Butchers on youtube.

Their store is https://www.whitefeathermeats.com/
Allen Brothers is based in the Chicago Stockyards. It has been there since 1893.
One of my goals for the new year is to do an electrical upgrade to support a serious freezer and some other things. Then, get to know the guy a few miles away who has a small herd of great looking Angus breeves. And get a half of one for my new freezer.
The steaks were tiny, about 4 ounces each. They make them look bigger in the ads, but you have to see them in relation to something else, like someone's hand or a utensil.

Oh but they are oh so good. Grass fed and corn finished
Also very good
Can’t beat fresh unfrozen - have the winner buy the steaks of his choice from the supplier of his choice and the loser pay for them...
Never had any luck with mail-order beef. Most were thin, tough, and expensive especially Omaha. While we eat steak only about once a week the best value around South Texas is our local HEB grocery chain. They sometimes will discount your purchase 5-10% if you buy over $100.
I don’t know about buying online, but I purchase my stakes at an outlet called Cattleman’s. I’ll buy a 10 lb. rib eye slab for about $7.99 per lb. then sliced to size. Sometimes they’re on sale for $6.99 per lb. Same with strip steaks.....
Ditto finding a local butcher! Tried Omaha Steaks twice. Thought the first time was just a bad one-off experience. After giving them a second go, no way I'll ever order from them again.
Found a local butcher less than 5 miles from my home. Does an awesome job, cuts whatever I want and the meat is far more superb than almost anything else I've tried.
Costco was mentioned upthread as being very good also, I concur. I just don't like having to have a membership to shop there, so I don't anymore. If you have a membership though, I used to find their butchers very accommodating as well and the meat quality quite good.
If I recall correctly, in addition to the steaks or other items, you get about 15 pounds of styrofoam and plastic and some kind of frozen gel. No thanks.
Food Lion is where I buy my steaks and fresh veggies. Costco is expensive and their veggies are NOT fresh.
If you are giving this as a gift to someone, go online to instacart and find a grocer or butcher near where they live. Order, via instacart, from that grocer and have the steaks carried directly to their house. A downside is that there is no preservative, iow, they need to be home and refrigerate ASAP. But this works! My kids have ordered stuff for me that way, and I for them.
Bkmk
That’s a great price!
My son lives in LA.
I found a great butcher shop in santa monica that will send gift certificates.
My son said they are awesome
Costco will let you enter and shop if you have a gift card. No need for a membership card.
We buy a lot of steak at Costco. And hamburger.
