Al Gore’s students from the group Last Generation staged the stunt at Museum Barberini in Potsdam, targeting Monet’s Meules. “People are starving, people are freezing, people are dying. We are in a climate catastrophe. And the only thing you’re afraid of is tomato soup or mashed potatoes on a painting,” the freak said.
“Do you know what I’m afraid of? That science say that we will not be able to feed our families in 2050. Does it take mashed potatoes on a painting to make you listen? This painting will be worth nothing when we are fighting over food. When is the point that you will finally listen and not just carry on as before?”
Two other Al Gore disciples glued themselves to the floor.
May I suggest 10 lashes with a cat’o’nine performed out in front of the gallery ... for the first offense. Escalate should the perp be so stupid as to try again.
That’s a lot of Monet.
It's in his glass.
I am ashamed to admit I have no Monet, therefore I am Baroque.
Okay, we’ve had the soup, time for the Main Course.............
Then Van Gogh away.....................
Thanks. Yes. I read that. Somehow I knew he had the smile in his hand.
All they have to do to stop these attzcks is ban everyone that smells from the museums.
“People are starving, people are freezing, people are dying. We are in a climate catastrophe. And …all you can do is throw food at paintings?
If they really want to support their cause, they should catapult themselves into the side of the Headquarters Buildings of the Oil Companies. Sure they’ll die, but at least it will show commitment.
In Europe??????.....................
Oh dang, that’s right- good catch lol
I remember back in 2000 when I had to travel to Germany for my job, I got off the plane in Paris to transfer to another flight and the airport looked like a UN meeting and the Bar Scene from Star Wars.... and the smell was awful!................
“Art historians miffed that a priceless Jackson Pollack painting was vandalized by climate activists, who spattered paint on it, but they can’t identify which one was vandalized.”
A $110M for that painting? I admit I am not an art connoisseur. The only thing I remember about Monet is we tried to get into the Monet museum in Paris near closing time some years ago. My mom wanted to see a couple of the big name paintings and tried to explain to the ticket person we were only going to be there a few minutes. Request denied, so we had to come back the following day.
I remember reading Monet owned a bored out Hummer.
People are starving. Yet they are throwing away food.
Ugggh. I’ve been around d hippies most of my life, and they are similar. They sure do save a lot of money by. Not buying soap
