State AGs Investigate Big Banks’ for Involvement in U.N. Carbon Emissions Pledge

On Wednesday, a coalition of 18 state attorneys general announced that they will be leading an investigation of six major banks that have joined a United Nations-led effort to achieve “net-zero” carbon emissions.

As reported by the Daily Caller, the six banks that are being probed are Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley. The banks have all become members of the U.N. Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA), which aim to reduce all carbon emissions in their respective lending and investment portfolios by the year 2050. The NZBA, which was formed in April of 2021, already has 119 members across 41 countries, thus accounting for at least 39 percent of the world’s banking assets.

The investigation, first announced by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-Texas), will determine whether or not the banks have violated consumer protection law.

“NZBA is an agreement between major banking institutions to support the climate agenda by choosing not to work with companies engaged in fossil fuel-related activities,” said Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich. “This means some farmers, oil leasing companies, and other businesses will be unable to get a loan because of the alliance.”

“The radical climate change movement has been waging an all-out war against American energy for years, and the last thing Americans need right now are corporate activists helping the left bankrupt our fossil fuel industry,” Paxton said in a statement. “If the largest banks in the world think they can get away with lying to consumers or taking any other illegal action designed to target a vital American industry like energy, they’re dead wrong. This investigation is just getting started, and we won’t stop until we get to the truth.”

The UN-led emissions pledge is just one example of the broad push by globalist activists for various corporations to adopt “environmental, social, and corporate governance” (ESG) policies. ESG often focuses on such matters as alleged “global warming,” as well as the promotion of diversity, including race-based hiring and indoctrination of Critical Race Theory, and support for the scientifically-debunked concept of transgenderism.

Maybe these banks will be sued into bankruptcy for fiduciary negligence.

Of course the executives in these big banks will use private jets, and drive Escalades.

They see net-zero as a great way to bring in fresh capital. Some of them are probably near insolvency.

Every publicly traded corporation in the US that is involved in ESG should be investigated for corporate fiduciary negligence.

This is a big deal because their stock have really come down. Our stock in BOA is down 33% just this year. I guess it won’t get better an time soon?

What they should do is investigate the UN.

The UN has one true purpose and that is to afford a diplomatic channel to all nations so that even if there is a conflict there can be dialog that can end that conflict.

The UN should shed everything else. All other offices and agendas should be gone. They have no purpose in the world.

The reality is, the UN is being used as the vehicle for one world government. Every human should oppose this. One world government would be the end of freedom.

Heavily armed Mexican drug cartels have brought the ESG program in Mexico to a dead stop. Eco-fascists pushing the agenda have either disappeared or fled the country. The cartels are now infiltrating and taking over the banks.

If you don’t mind neighbors running around with AKs, manpads and grenades, Mexico might be a good place to open a taco stand. First, determine the fee the cartels charge to operate safely in their territory. It might be cheaper than the government tax.
