Excited by the find, he contacted science historian Victor Gysembergh at CNRS in Paris, who translated the passage to find it state the longitude and latitude coordinations of the constellation Corona Borealis, along with coordinates for the stars to the north, south, east and west of it.Gee, that works..... ONLY IF YOU BELIEVE THE WORLD IS ROUND!..............

They did.
In fact they knew it.
Some where around 200BC for sure and probably before. They had even figured out how big it was. Their calculations were close enough for government work.
