I call BS.
Think about what pro-baby-killing doctors want to professionally do in exchange for money?
Does anyone here imagine such a person would not eagerly let a woman die just to have a body they could point to on the battlefield of politics?
Hey, the woman may be lying ... but then again maybe the doctors were willing to see her die if it meant returning to business as usual, even then knowing that they could use her for propaganda even if she survived!
Bull Sh**!
If we can find JUST ONE EXCEPTION in a world of nearly 8 billion people, then that anecdote should determine the law.
We don’t know all.the specifics of her case, but why was she so sure that her baby was non-viable, and that her own life was at immediate risk? She talks about the possibility of waiting for weeks for the baby to die, but six weeks would give her child a chance. And this was a wanted pregnancy after fertility problems.
The article says “walking around”. Is that meant literally? Because bed rest is usually prescribed.
If there was already a known infection, then the mother’s life was at risk, and Texas law would permit induction or termination.
Confusion in the mother, or the doctors regarding the law, or in the journalist.
This is a mothers life issue why did they have such triuble with this
(1) Publicly release EVERY relevant medical record.
(2) Name the medical personnel who refused to intervene.
(3) Sue the medical personnel who endangered your life.
(4) Then, I will believe this actually happened.
COUGH COUGH COUGH bullshit COUGH COUGH COUGH
Not buying this. Nice try, Dimmies.
Bravo Sierra
um ‘her own child one day?
If the baby is not viable, Texas law allows for an abortion. PERIOD!
This is ridiculous. Docs have always done “therapeutic abortions” when the mother’s life is in danger. In the old days, if there was a life-threatening delivery with few options, they would call the family and/or clergyman and ask, “Shall I save the mother or the baby?”
Let’s see her medical records.
Exactly.
There is a not a doctor in the world that would allow that to happen. If the fetus is not viable, its not an abortion.
The Texas law is pretty clear about that. Journalists should actually read the law. It’s written plainly.
If the baby is already dead, it isn’t an abortion. When a fetus dies the woman’s body will usually go into labor on it’s own, and within days. I have seen this happen twice to one of my daughters.
This woman did not get sepsis because she had a dead fetus in her womb. She just didn’t want to have to go through labor.
I’ll bet had she carried the baby to term she would have insisted on a c section to avoid labor.
