And just wait until road taxes are slapped onto that electricity price.

You have to add-in the cost of the extra time to re-charge.

How many people live in apartments?
How many live in cities with street parking?
Going all EV is total BS.

“In fact Parker’s are understating just how expensive running costs are for EVs, because their figures for petrol/diesel include fuel duties, which account for nearly half of the cost. “
And there you have it. More gov’t subsidy for EVs.

What are “diesel-parkers”? People who have parked their diesel trucks for good because they can’t afford the fill-up?

How many people live in flood-prone areas where a gas or diesel powered vehicle can still drive through shallow water or what about folks who live in hurricane prone areas where a full tank of gas can get you to a safer area but even on a full charge your ev will die and leave you stranded on a crowded highway. The mentally challenged leaders on this are either THAT STUPID or are puely evil beyond words.

A big increase in gasoline and diesel fuel taxes will fix that.

Parker is some sort of media oriented organization.
Obviously poorly named to be covering the use of vehicles for transportation.
[Though I will put in a gratuitous plug for the Free Parking that has helped to make America Great over the years.]

I think there are several companies coming out with electric semi-trucks. If it costs more to charge an EV than fill up with diesel, then just imagine the inflation that will occur when CA and commie states mandate electric semis.

Does anybody honestly think there is a magical solution that would lower the cost of transportation? The full life cycle, cradle to grave cost of any over-the-road system will be about the same. At least until “Mr. Fusion” is sold at Walmart.

Yes, I've asked that question myself. Over on Lakeside here in Reno there was for a time a guy charging his EV at the curb with the extension cord running from the car, across the sidewalk, then probably 60-70 feet to the building and who knows where for the final connection. Imagine that for every resident?
When will copper thieves relieve them of the cables?
What happens with rain or snow?
Who has liability for people tripping on the cords or being electracuted?

The amount of BS that is pushed on this country by the elites is astonishing. They never let up.

I'm with most FR'ers about hating the Dims forcing people to switch to EV's. I'd rather EV's be a free market thing. But let's please make our arguments with truth, not with lies like the Dims do.
If I were to use the EV supercharger nearest me in Alabama (which I don't for obvious reasons), the rate is 32¢/minute at the highest rate (opting to do no monthly subscription to get the lower rate). That'll get me 250 miles in 15 minutes: 15 X 32¢ = $4.80 to drive 250 miles.
I believe diesel costs $5/gallon near here, which is how much it costs to charge my EV to get 250 miles. How many miles will that one gallon of diesel get?

I think I’ll wait for the wireless charging system to come out.
